Building those relationships is based on Trust, which not only can help make your Agents stronger in combat but can also unlock unique conversations and more content. However, improving that Trust can take time, so here are some of the best ways to strengthen Trust with your Agents and get the most out of your team.

Each Agent in ZZZ has its development of Trust, which determines how good your relationship with that specific Agent is. Improving the Trust Level is limited to three key avenues:

  • Finishing tasks with them
  • Completing commissions with them
  • Completing Agent Invites.

When Trust builds, each Agent has four different Trust levels, and reaching a new level unlocks new rewards for you to claim. To look into what level of Trust you currently have with your Agents, go to your Workbench at home in the Video Store and click on the ‘Partner Archive’. It will split all your agents into their respective groups, which can be selected and viewed.

The level will be marked by the bar in the middle of the screen, and this is also the same tab where you can collect Trust Rewards from the button on the bottom right titled “Trust Reward” when you reach a new level.

To complete Agent Invites and build more Trust with your Agents, simply follow the requirements listed in the Partner Archive for your respective Agent. It will mention not only what specific missions need to be completed, but what general tasks need to be done to improve the Trust level.

For players who struggle to find the DM tab where you can talk to allies and continue to develop Trust via Agent Invites, the first barrier in-game revolves around completing the Anby’s Problem mission, which requires the player to be at least at the Inter-Knot Level 31 and have completed the Chapter 2 Intermission.

If you are below that level, the DM tab for contacting allies will not appear, and it will show in your Partner Archive.

When those goals are accomplished, Agents will start to DM you through your DM page, in their specific tab which will be the leftmost option on the screen. If not, you can also start a conversation by choosing the Agent in the same DM tab and pressing Send.

Then, as the conversation begins, choose the dialogue options that will be best for your specific Agent.

To know their personality, make sure to look into their Agent details in the Partner Archive, which will give plenty of information on what the Agent likes.

When starting a conversation with an Agent through DMs, the face above the Agent description will show you the current Trust level that you have with them. The better the Trust, the happier the face will be.

If the conversations go well, you can meet up in the world with the Agents and continue the conversations, still choosing dialogue options that are favourable to the specific Agent. Just know that these overworld meetings with Agents are limited per day, so use that to your advantage.

Last but not least, when you reach new Trust Levels with Agents, there is a chance that they will ask you to complete an Advancement Task. These tasks offer additional rewards outside the Trust Reward system. This will not only make that specific Agent stronger in combat but build more of a true relationship with these allies that help you get through the dangers that are Hollows.
