In a recent post on Reddit, sid-thesloth expressed a lot of excitement about the upcoming rat-themed character teased in the gameplay trailer and even suggested that it might be included in Fortnite‘s Crew offerings for March. The unnamed skin is covered in brown, blown out hair and has bulbous eyes that give it a frenzied look. It’s also wearing an apron with “boom” written in big white letters across the front of it. Some fans were quick to point out that the cosmetic somewhat resembles Scrat from the movie Ice Age.
Fortnite Teases Rat-Themed Skin
The funky-looking skin isn’t the only unique character coming to the popular battle royale, as Big Dill will be making its debut in the battle pass for Chapter 6 Season 2. While the game has a number of food-themed cosmetics already, this will be the first character modeled after a pickle in Fortnite. Before it was officially revealed, many fans thought Epic Games was teasing a pickle version of the famous mascot Peely, though such rumors proved to be unfounded.
Chapter 6 Season 2 is also bringing back the fan-favorite character Midas to Fortnite. While he originally made his debut as a clean-cut spy dressed to impress, this variant features a tougher look with long hair and black streetwear. Midas skins often have the ability to turn any weapon they touch to gold, which is a cosmetic feature unique to the recurring character. With a new season on the way and even more content to look forward to, many fans are excited about the future of Fortnite.
