With only a few days left in the current season, the Fortnite reveals for Chapter 6 Season 2 have started steadily flowing. A recent trailer has revealed a ton about what Epic Games has planned next. As always, there’s a ton of content set to arrive in a few days when the new season goes live. Here’s what we know is coming.

Fortnite Trailer Reveals Huge Additions to Loot Pool
Leakers ShiinaBR and HYPEX have been hard at work uncovering and showing off all the Fortnite leaks and reveals for the new season. Chapter 6 Season 2 is set to arrive in just a few days, and we already know a ton about what’s coming. The battle pass was already revealed.
There is a brand-new Meltanite item that acts as an explosive. It will melt items down. It’s currently unclear how frequent or useful this might be as an offensive item, but the heist theme suggests it will be used to “rob” money from safes, cars, and possibly banks.
Additionally, the new trailer gave a peek at a new gun, too. There is going to be a plasma burst rifle in Chapter 6 Season 2. Every so often when shooting, an explosion will occur at the point of impact.
In the past, Fortnite has had dual-wield pistols and SMGs. Now, the leaks indicate that a dual-wield shotgun is on the way. Players will fire two slugs but will be unable to zoom in with the shotgun.
Some previous leaks that predate the trailer include a new Rocket Ram item, a Sub-Zero Mythic item, and more. These items will join those confirmed in the trailer.
Much of this was confirmed in the trailer for the new season which just dropped. February 21 is the launch date of the new season, so this was one of the final info dumps before the season is launched.
As such, most of this is guaranteed to arrive in the season. However, it may not all be there at launch. In the past, even items in the trailers took several weeks or months to arrive. This all will be featured in Chapter 6 Season 2, but it might not be there on Friday.
