Who is on the Avowed cast list? Just like our favorite musicians or on-screen actors, we love to hear our favorite voice actors pop up in the latest releases. These people will keep you company throughout your journey, and that’s especially the case with companion characters.
The Avowed voice actors’ names are out there, though unfortunately, the game’s credits don’t attribute them to their character. While the talent behind the four main Avowed companions was confirmed before launch, only a couple of other matches have popped up. Below you’ll find a rundown of the actor/character pairings we know of. We’ve also noted any unconfirmed duos from the adventure game, plus some of the better-known Avowed voice actors who have offered their vocal brilliance at the bottom of this guide.
All Avowed voice actors
The confirmed Avowed cast list so far is:
- Kai — Brandon Keener
- Giatta — Mara Junot
- Marius — Scott Whyte
- Yatzli — Anjali Bhimani
- Sargamis – Matthew Mercer
- Ilora – Katy Townsend
Kai
Kai was one of the first Avowed characters to whom we were introduced and presumably plays a big part in the game since he was chosen to narrate the first Avowed gameplay trailer. His first lines in the trailer are “People don’t like you very much, do they?”, but we think this means we can trust him.
If you’ve watched the trailer a few times, you’ll be familiar with the voice of Kai, and might even recognize it as Brandon Keener. Keener is also the voice of Garrus Vakarian in Mass Effect, Detective Caldwell in LA Noire, and Salmael in Persona 5 Tactica. He’s also appeared in ESO Online, Red Dead Redemption 2, and The Division.
Giatta
Giatta might seem like a good pick for your party, a fellow human to keep you company. That said, Giatta’s animancer power comes from the phantasmal focus she carries, making her a magical companion, so you might want to consider whether you want her or Yatzli on your team. This feisty young lady is both determined and defiant following the death of her parents.
If you do choose Giatta, you’ll be accompanied by the voice of Mara Junot. She has been hard at work recently on Marvel Rivals as the voice of Storm, and she also appears in Stormgate. As for her previous works, where do we start? She’s best known for playing Ikora in Destiny 2, but Junot has also had roles in Remnant II, Starfield, and MK 1, just to name a few.
Marius
Okay, we don’t want to say we have favorites, but we might have a soft spot for Marius, the beardy mountain dwarf played by Scott Whyte. Marius seems like a great addition to any party thanks to his hunting and survival abilities, having grown up in the harsh environment of Galawain’s Tusks.
In real life, the beardy Scott Whyte has most recently appeared in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Spider-Man 2, and Diablo 4, while also being one of the male player character voices in Remnant II.
Yatzli
Yatzli is a female wizard, so you’ll probably want to choose between her and Giatta when building your party, rather than choosing to adventure with them both. Yatzli is a little firecracker, and she might be short, but she’s very sweet… and flirty. Avowed doesn’t feature any romance options, so adding Yatzli to your party might be the closest you get thanks to her naughty banter.
If you think you recognize the voice of Yatzli, you probably do. Voice actor Anjali Bhimani is the voice behind Overwatch’s Symmetra. Bhimani is also the voice of Izel in Diablo 4, Commander Natara in Starfield, and Rampart in Apex Legends, among countless other videogame, TV, and film credits.
Sargamis
Sargamis is voiced by Matthew Mercer, who anyone who’s played the Pillars series will immediately know of. The man behind FF7 Rebirth’s Vincent Valentine, Yakuza’s Goro Majima, and even Attack on Titan’s resident Beyblade cosplayer, Levi Ackerman, it’s hard not to know who Mercer is.
Ilora
Ilora is voiced by Katy Townsend, who RPG fans will recognize as Cait from Fallout 4 and Suvi from Mass Effect Andromeda. She also voiced Maddie in Season 2 of Arcane.
When it comes to unconfirmed pairings, the rumor mill has so far only suggested Thirdborn trader Kampeki is voiced by Laura Post, who is best known for her roles as Kasumi in Persona 5 Royal, Ahri in League of Legends, and Yelan in Genshin Impact. Post is credited as a VA in Avowed, and Kampeki’s vocal qualities certainly make it a plausible match.
As for notaries without any sort of lead on who they may have voiced in Avowed, the list is plentiful (honestly, this game is stacked with talent). This includes Chantelle Barry (Maya, Black Ops 6), JB Blanc (Vander, Arcane), Allegra Clark (Bloodhound, Apex Legends), Tommie Earl Jenkins (Die-Hardman, Death Stranding), Crispin Freeman (Winston, Overwatch), and SungWon ‘ProZD’ Cho (Woo Jin-chul, Solo Leveling).
Perhaps the biggest name on the card (at least, for 90s kids) is Yuri Lowenthal, who over the years has voiced Sasuke (Naruto), Ben Tennyson (Ben 10), and Peter Parker (Spider-Man videogame series, as well as Marvel Rivals).
