I’m going to give you the harrowing truth of what he said.
You will have your Xbox game library for generations to come. It’s still tied to your account. If Gamepass is turned into Microsoft Gamepass because Xbox no longer exist, it’s just a name change. You still have your games. Doesn’t matter if it’s Microsoft Gamespass on PlayStation, Steam, or Switch. Link your account and you’re golden because you can play on the cloud. They will simply store the saves in the cloud and adapt the games to work with the PlayStation controller.
Notice how he dances around future Xboxes. He says generations to come you will still have access to your games thanks to cloud. Generations of consoles do not have to include Xboxes.
“Phil! Will I still have access to my games library? Xbox looks to be in trouble!”
“Well thanks to cloud, you will have your library for generations to come…”
Xbox, it’s been real. Potential wasted on anything BUT gaming has finally caught up with ya. Buying up IPs is a last ditch effort to essentially force people to get the service after they sunset Xbox. They’ve dropped nuggets for a while. Everything is an Xbox… so why have an Xbox? They will be the new… whatever those failed streaming systems were called. Amazons, Googles, and that other company failed hard. Will the die hard Xbox fans go this far to support them?
