Summary

  • Fans want a thickness slider for custom belts in WWE 2K25’s Create a Championship mode.
  • The fan concept demonstrates adjusting belt thickness and side-plates.
  • The addition could enhance customization but might lead to strange-looking belts online.

WWE 2K players already have a bunch of customization options for creating custom belts, but certain fans think that the ability to modify the belt’s thickness may further improve the Create a Championship feature in the forthcoming WWE 2K25. Since the beginning of the WWE 2K franchise, custom championships have been a part of the wrestling simulation game, with players getting more ways to customize them to their liking over successive iterations.

For decades, customization has been a significant aspect in WWE games, ranging from 1998’s WWF War Zone all the way to 2024’s WWE 2K24. Whether it be custom wrestlers, custom title belts, or even custom storylines, in the past, the devs have provided the player with different ways to tailor the in-game experience according to their needs. Speaking about the ongoing WWE 2K franchise in particular, the creation suites for a range of different in-game elements, such as championship belts, have existed since the inception of the series. While these customization features have been reworked and enhanced over time, a section of fans apparently believe one simple but significant setting could change custom championships for the better.

A New AEW Video Game Would Have a Golden Opportunity WWE 2K Doesn’t

Whenever AEW gets another proper video game, it shouldn’t miss out on the chance to do something that the WWE 2K games cannot.

In a Reddit post, user TheKingslayah shared a concept video for WWE 2K25, showing a new slider to adjust the size or thickness of the belt in the game’s Create a Championship mode. As demonstrated in the clip, the option would enable players to modify the thickness of not only the centerpiece of the belt but also its side-plates, to an extensive degree. Additionally, the concept also shows the player being able to alter the position of the belt’s side-plates, further changing its appearance. TheKingslayah stated that the settings shown in the concept would resolve the issue where certain WWE 2K belts, such as the spinner belt, look “very flat” due to their fixed default thickness.

WWE 2K25 Create a Championship Concept Draws Interest From Fans

In the comments on Reddit, certain WWE 2K fans voiced their opinions on a potential thickness slider for custom championships, with many giving their approval to the WWE 2K25 concept. One user said, “Crazy that this isn’t already in the game,” whereas another opined, “I wish they would at least have the option like this.” Talking about the possible symmetry issues that could come with the implementation of this concept, another comment noted that such a slider could also be “hell” to certain users who may spend too much time trying to adjust the thickness of the side-plates to ensure they are “perfectly mirrored.”

While this WWE 2K25 fan concept certainly looks like a fairly simple addition, it holds the potential to pave the way for custom belts with their own distinct thickness. However, there is also the risk of certain players using the thickness slider in ways not intended by the devs. This could quickly lead to ridiculously odd-looking belts appearing in WWE 2K‘s online modes, which may break immersion for other players. Regardless, with WWE 2K25 launching on March 14, 2025, fans are set to find out everything that has been changed on the customization front this year sooner than later.
