Skater Skater Tyshawn Jones has seemingly revealed that we’re getting another Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remaster. Speaking on the Breakfast Club podcast, Jones says that he’s appearing in a “new one they’re remastering”, leading fans to speculate as to what older release is getting re-released.

The popular theory is that we’re getting Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 + 4 packaged as remasters, as we did with the first two games back in 2020. Either way, Jones says he’ll be in it, seemingly confirming that something is going on here.

New Tony Hawk Pro Skater Remaster Seemingly Leaked

Tyshawn Jones may have just confirmed a new remaster on a podcast

These comments came after Jones was asked whether or not he’s in the new Skate game. It seems that he isn’t but he will be in another skating game.

“I’m in a Tony Hawk [that’s] coming out, so that’s cool,” he says. “They’ve got a new one they’re remastering.”

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’s 25th Anniversary Is One More Chance For Activision To Change Course

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater is approaching its quarter-century anniversary, and Activision should go all out for it.

This doesn’t give us any indication as to which one is being remastered, but following on from the first two would make sense. It’s also been long enough since that remaster launched that a new one could be in the works, enough so to get skaters involved.

In any case, we know that something is happening with the Tony Hawk series. Back in September of last year, Tony Hawk himself commented on this. On the 25th anniversary of the series, he wrote: “I’m not supposed to tease anything else about the future of the series, but there will be a future.” Now, with Jones’ comments in mind, that future could be a revisit to the franchise’s past.

Tony Hawk has previously said that Pro Skater 3 + 4 remasters were in the works, but were scrapped. Either this project was revived, or another game is getting remastered instead.

Ultimately, the future of the series is in the hands of Activision Blizzard, and by extension, Xbox. We’ll have to wait and see what this ambiguous future will involve, and whether that means new instalments, remasters, or a mix of both.
