Part of what makes Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 so satisfying to work through is how Henry gets stronger throughout the game. Instead of funneling skill points into different stats, so Henry can do better in those areas, you instead level up your stats by partaking in those activities.

These intense and sometimes hilarious side quests are definitely worth your time completing.
It’s rewarding to see your stats improve because you’ve naturally leaned toward a certain play style, and it’s even better to see you’ve got a new perk point to spend as a reward for your efforts. There are hundreds of perks spread across a wide selection of categories, but there are some, in particular, you should keep an eye out for to give Henry the best advantages possible.
11
Cushion
Scholarship
It’s easy to overlook Henry’s more scholarly side, but at least in the sequel, you don’t have to teach Henry to read from scratch. However, books are one of the best ways for Henry to get better in different categories and level up his stats, and it barely takes any in-game time for a massive reward.
But there are better ways to read that you might be completely ignoring. Henry will read much quicker when he’s sitting, and if you activate the Cushion perk, he’ll absorb that information even faster.
10
Sic ’em!
Houndmaster
One of the best ways to make a fight in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 just a little easier is to get some help from Henry’s canine companion Mutt. In battle, you can sic Mutt on enemies, providing a perfect distraction to give Henry a chance to get some easy hits in.
But Mutt isn’t just a distraction, and he can deal some pretty damning damage if you activate the right perks. One of the most straightforward ways of doing this is using the perk Sic ’em which will buff Mutt’s damage by 20 percent.
9
Locksmith
Craftsmanship
If you’re looking to cut corners in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you might not spend that much time making your own weapons at the forge, but if you do, you’ll miss out on some fantastic perks in the Craftsmanship category.
Even if you don’t spend that much time forging, one of the best perks, Locksmith, will improve Henry’s thievery skills by using his experience from blacksmithing. On top of creating a bonus one to three lockpicks with each forging session, Henry’s Thievery stat will be buffed by 3 every time he has to lockpick, making the finicky minigame just a little easier.
8
Deft Hands
Agility
In theory, Henry can equip any weapon he gets his grubby mitts on in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but it’s not always that simple if he wants to use the weapon properly. For each weapon, there is a minimum Strength and Agility requirement to properly equip the weapon, and this is used to lock Henry from being able to use the best weapons right away.
However, if you want to speed up Henry’s path to using the best weapons in the game, then you can activate Deft Hands, which lowers the Agility cost of each weapon by two. With this active, Henry will in an instant have a bevy of new weapons ready for him to use.
7
Leg Day
Survival
Survival is one of the wider-encompassing categories, including quite a few of Henry’s skills under one umbrella, and part of this includes Henry’s foraging. It’s fantastic just how much detail is put into the alchemy minigame (if you’re the right kind of person), but to get the best ingredients for this minigame, Henry will need to forage them himself.
Just finding the spawning spots for these herbs is one thing, but then locking on and sitting through the monotonous picking-up animation can quickly become tiring. However, if you use the perk Leg Day, then Henry will at least get something more out of it, getting a small amount of Strength experience each time he picks up a herb.
6
Secret Of Matter
Alchemy
While alchemy is plenty of fun when done in moderation, it can get a little more tiresome if you want to make massive batches of potions at the same time. However, there are some ways to make this experience a bit more efficient by using perks.
Plenty of the perks in the Alchemy category make the specific minigame easier, but the one you should activate as soon as possible is Secret Of Matter, which simply doubles your output, getting two potions instead of one with each batch made.
5
Jack Of All Trades
Speech
A lot of your success in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will depend on your gameplay ability and response times, but sometimes it just comes down to the numbers. In different situations, Henry will be given a skill check, and passing these can make certain interactions significantly easier, or even net you some extra information or a reward.
In the early game, it might feel like you’re failing these at just about every opportunity, but if you want a quick advantage, then activate Jack Of All Trades. This will give you an impressive buff of two points for every category, making all of your conversations just a little easier.
4
Martin’s Heritage
Main Level
The buffs you get from the Main Level perks can be some of the most overpowered in the game, so you must consider wisely which ones you go for when given the host of options at your disposal.
While there are a few you should get as soon as possible, the one that will likely help the most people is Martin’s Heritage. This perk will increase the rate Henry gains experience in Sword Fighting, Craftsmanship, and Survival, three of the best categories in the game.
3
Furor Teutonicus
Warfare
Similarly to the Main Level category, Warfare has some of the most useful perks, since it encompasses all combat, not just limited to one weapon type. Some effective perks are available during the early game, but the best one isn’t available until a little later on.

Never lose another game of dice in the game by using these.
Furor Teutonicus might sound a little niche, but by increasing Henry’s attack power the lower his health is, since ideally Henry’s health will be high in most combat encounters. However, it has a generous trigger rate of Henry being under 75 points of health. This means the attack buff will trigger if Henry has only taken one or two hard hits, making it perfect for longer fights.
2
Diehard
Vitality
Most of the perks in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 are useful bonuses that you likely won’t feel too much impact from unless you’re paying attention. However, some noticeable exceptions make Henry feel much more powerful as soon as they’re activated.
The best example of this is Diehard, a mid/late-game Vitality perk that will recover 25 percent of Henry’s health after taking a fatal hit. This helps out massively in long, arduous fights where Henry needs every bit of health he can get, giving him the extra boost to make it over the finish line he might otherwise be missing.
1
Strong As A Bull
Strength
The biggest obstacle throughout most of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 isn’t the combat, it isn’t starvation, fatigue, or even Henry’s stench, it’s carry capacity. Henry will often find himself in missions where he has the perfect opportunity to loot some of the best, most expensive items in the game, but risks being over-encumbered if he picks up too much.
This carry limit can be improved over time by gradually increasing his Strength stat, but if you want a quick and easy boost to this number, then the Strong As A Bull perks will give Henry an immediate increase in just how much his pockets will hold.
