Path of Exile 2 Reveals Plans for Future Updates

Grinding Gear Games reveals its plans for future Path of Exile 2 updates, which will roll out while the ARPG is still in early access.

Yet another Path of Exile 2 update materialized on February 17. Identified by version number 0.1.1d, this is the game’s 25th patch to date. The highlight of the new update is the Map Stash tab, which comes equipped with half a dozen sub-stashes for every tier of Path of Exile 2 Waystones. With 6 sub-stashes capable of holding 96 Waystones each, the tab’s total storage capacity amounts to 576. Individual containers can be customized with user-defined names and colors, with players also being able to switch their visibility to public in order to list their items on the Trade website.

Populating the sub-stashes introduced in the new Path of Exile 2 update is as simple as Control-clicking a Waystone from one’s inventory. Doing so will transfer the selected item to the corresponding section of the Map Stash tab, based on its tier. Console players can replicate this functionality by moving the inventory cursor over a Waystone and pressing the stash button, which corresponds to Y on the Xbox Series X/S and triangle on the PS5.

The 0.0.1d update enables the Havenwood Cloak DLC cosmetic, in addition to making some targeted adjustments geared toward improving performance on Microsoft’s consoles. Multiple Path of Exile 2 bug fixes are also part of the package, including a solution for a visual issue that caused the game to display the wrong Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence attribute values on the Passive Skill Tree when using a controller.

The 0.0.1d update debuted exactly one week after Path of Exile 2 received the 0.0.1c patch on February 10, marking the game’s third revision since the turn of the month. Grinding Gear Games is expected to continue refining its action RPG on a weekly basis as it continues preparing for its full-fledged release. The studio previously said that Path of Exile 2 will stay in early access for at least six months, so the version 1.0 launch isn’t expected to arrive before May 2025. While the pre-release build of the game retails for $29.99, the finished product will be free-to-play.
