NBA 2K All-Star is set to bring an authentic basketball experience to mobile players in China, with its official launch scheduled for March 25, 2025. Joining the other 2K Series of games such as NBA 2K Mobile and NBA 2K24 MyTEAM, the game is co-developed by 2K and Tencent Games.

NBA 2K All-Star was first announced in the Tencent SPARK 2024, from the details available, the game is powered by a new 2K engine that ensures high-quality visuals, smooth gameplay, and true-to-life basketball action. Looking at the trailer visuals, the feeling is quite positive. Yes, there might be downgrades while playing on mobile, but the gameplay looks promising.

One of the biggest highlights of NBA 2K All-Star is its advanced motion capture technology, which recreates signature moves from over 600 real players. With more than 20,000 dribbling animations and 1,100 iconic star movements, you can expect smooth transitions and realistic in-game actions.

The game also introduces a detailed player modelling system with highly accurate muscle definitions, facial expressions, and movement physics, making the gameplay feel as close to the real NBA as possible. With over 1,300 real team tactics from both modern and classic NBA teams, you can execute plays with depth and strategy, just like in a real match.

For now, NBA 2K All-Star is launching exclusively in China, with a test server opening between late February and early March 2025, before the launch on the 25th. With pre-registration open in China, there’s no official word on a global release yet, but given the series’ popularity, it’s likely that a global launch will follow at a later date.
