According to the reports, which cite three unknown industry insiders, creators would be able to modify the game’s assets and environments, similar to what’s currently being done in games like Fortnite or Roblox. However, the reports are still vague at this point, and it seems that Rockstar’s conversations with creators have been “relatively open-ended” so far. Also, it’s not clear how creators could benefit from creating content for GTA 6 beyond mere exposure.

Rockstar Could be Planning to Allow GTA 6 Players to Make User-Generated Content

Rockstar’s interest in player-made creations is not exactly new. Back in 2023, Rockstar acquired CFX.RE, a team of developers who created roleplay servers for GTA Online and Red Dead Online.
