The Forged of Star-Stuff is one of the many side quests players will trigger once they start exploring the Living Lands in Avowed. However, there’s a slight difference between this quest and the others and that’s because even though you can begin the Forged of Star-Stuff quest in any of the four regions, you won’t be able to proceed until the final region is unlocked.
The quest is not complicated at all, since most of what’s required is collecting starmetals and giving them to the correct blacksmith. However, there’s no indication of where the starmetal is located, so you have to explore each region carefully if you wish to complete the Forged of Star-Stuff side quest in Avowed.

Forged Of Star-Stuff Quest In Avowed
To trigger the Forged of Star-Stuff side quest, players must find and pick up a starmetal fragment. You can find one starmetal in all the regions; Dawnshore, Emerald Stair, Shatterscarp, and Galawain’s Tusks. The quest will trigger when you obtain one of them in any region, but you do eventually have to collect all of them.
The next step is to ask a blacksmith if they can use it to make a special weapon or armor in Avowed. Sadly for players, every blacksmith you encounter will say they don’t know how to use it and instead suggest going to Solace Keep, as there’s a famous blacksmith there, Forgemaster Dela, who can help players with their problem.
Solace Keep is a settlement within Galawain’s Tusks, and it’s the fourth and final region you get to explore before entering The Garden. Use the elevator to reach Solace Keep and then head straight to the stairs leading down to find Forgemaster Dela. Upon offering the Starmetal, he can make a Sword or an Arquebus and you can have both if all four starmetals are acquired.
With the first two starmetals, you are given the Meteor Blade (Sword) and the Moonstrike (Arquebus), and giving him the remaining two will upgrade both weapons from Superb quality +1 to +2. Their names also change, so Meteor Blade becomes Ondra’s Offense and Moonstrike becomes Heavenstrike.

The final one is in the Ash Forest, just southwest of The Living Archives. You can also track Destul’s bounty location as it will lead you to the starmetal fragment, and picking it up will trigger the boss fight.
