Summary
- Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta’s Full Force Kamehameha nearly annihilated Broly, making it the strongest version of the move in Dragon Ball.
- Gogeta’s unparalleled strength combines Goku’s power with Vegeta’s, showcasing his destructive potential.
- While the Kamehameha technique has been used by many characters, Gogeta’s version stands out for its unmatched power.
When it comes to the most iconic techniques across the entire anime/manga industry, none are more well-known than the Kamehameha from Dragon Ball. This is not only one of the franchise’s oldest techniques, but it also holds the title of most ubiquitous, since this technique is used by the highest number of fighters throughout the series, but is mostly synonymous with Goku due to being the strongest attack of many of his forms.
As such, there have been many different versions of this attack across the entire series. From incredibly stylish versions used by Ultra Instinct Omen to variations mixed with other final moves used by fusions, the Kamehameha may also just be the most versatile attack in all of Dragon Ball. However, one version of the Ki wave stands above the others in terms of power, so let’s take a look at which it is.

The Move That Would Have Annihilated Broly

In Dragon Ball Super: Broly, the titular character finally made his canon debut in the series, where he proved himself to be the greatest threat that Goku and Vegeta had ever faced up to that point. His awesome power was far superior to anything the heroes could muster at the time, prompting them to undergo fusion through the Metamoran Dance in order to birth the strongest mortal in the universe; Gogeta.
This film marked Gogeta’s iconic debut as well and truly showed the difference in power between him and Broly, since the latter was completely unable to harm him. Eventually, Gogeta unlocked his Super Saiyan Blue state and delivered a vicious beating to his opponent, ending it all in a Kamehameha that was hinted at by Whis to be one of the most powerful attacks in the history of the franchise. However, Broly was teleported out of harm’s way in the nick of time, making Gogeta miss his strongest attack.
We are Gogeta! Kakarot and Vegeta have merged together to take Broly down!
This puts him in a unique situation since the title for the strongest Kamehameha in the entire series goes to an attack that never really caused any damage to the user’s opponent. However, seeing Gogeta’s strength and surmising his power through contextual analysis proves that this was the most powerful version of the move that has ever been performed in Dragon Ball.
Firstly, it’s no secret that Gogeta, along with Vegito and perhaps Black Frieza, is the most powerful mortal in the multiverse, taking the peak of Goku and Vegeta’s strengths and multiplying them even more. This puts him far above even Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta, which is important considering how the Kamehameha used by Goku in his respective Divine Transformation is often regarded as his most powerful.
However, for Gogeta’s Full Force Kamehameha, the power of Goku in his Ultra Instinct form would not only add Vegeta’s power on top of that, but it would multiply it further. It’s safe to say that if Cheelai hadn’t wished Broly out of that situation, he likely would have been completely obliterated, despite holding his own well enough for the rest of the fight against Gogeta.
The Kamehameha is an incredibly versatile and powerful attack that has been used almost infinitely throughout the series by many different characters. And, each time, it proves to be an incredibly reliable move that has defeated many strong foes. However, out of all of these versions, none surpasses Gogeta’s Full Force Kamehameha in terms of destructive output, which can be surmised through Gogeta’s unparalleled strength despite the attack not even connecting.

Other Notable Versions Of The Kamehameha
Various Powerful Versions Of This Move Exist
As for other versions of the Kamehameha, there are plenty in the series to choose from, though some are far stronger than others. In canon, perhaps the most powerful after Gogeta’s version is the Final Kamehameha, which some would argue doesn’t count in this conversation since it’s a unique attack mixed with Vegeta’s Final Flash. Still, though, when it was used on Merged Zamasu, it didn’t seem to do much damage, so it still probably falls short when compared to Gogeta’s version.
Other than this, notable examples that come to mind are the version that Goku used in his Ultra Instinct forms and those used by characters like Goku Black or even Goku in his Super Saiyan Blue state. There are even many formidable types from the non-canon parts of the series, such as Goku’s 10x Kamehameha, but none of these are stronger than Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta’s Big Bang Kamehameha, which was strong enough to obliterate Omega Shenron if it had hit.
