The Warfare skill refers to a general measurement of Henry’s combat prowess in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This includes his proficiency in the game’s many weapon types as well as his ability to block, manage stamina, and outplay enemies in the heat of combat.

This skill will naturally improve as players go through KCD2’s main campaign, but if you want to stay ahead of potential enemies, training your Warfare skill is a great way to start. Here are some things you can do to earn more Warfare XP without progressing too far into the story.

Before heading to the Wedding Crashers quest, you’ll want to do a few other things beforehand to enhance your Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 experience.

How to Farm Warfare XP in KCD2

Big fight in KCD2

Unlike other skills, Warfare level increases as you level up your skills with individual weapons. Gaining XP with any weapon will also contribute to the Warfare skill’s growth. It won’t be a one-to-one conversion, however, so you’ll want to specialize on one weapon type in order to be the most efficient.

Which weapon you use depends entirely on your preference. You’ll Warfare XP with both melee and ranged weapons, but if you want to improve these skills outside of hunting enemy fighters, you’ll need to find a place to practice.

Marksmanship Route

You can participate in archery contests to quickly and easily earn Warfare and Marksmanship XP in KCD2. There’s an archery arena along the road west of Tachov leading up to Vidlak Pond. You can compete here to earn Marksmanship XP for every arrow you hit, and if you win the contest, you’ll get even more XP. There are other archery arenas throughout Trosky and Kuttenberg, including the ones in Trosky Castle, Nebakov, The Devil’s Den, and Kuttenberg city itself.

Melee Training Route

Improving Warfare through melee combat is a lot more convenient, as you won’t need to worry about range and ammunition. All you need now are targets — since you won’t always be able to find some bandits or hostile soldiers to fight, your best bet to farm melee weapon XP is through training exercises.

You can practice your fighting skills with melee skill teachers like Tomcat in the Nomad Camp will agree to duel with you. When given the option, say that you want a real fight with them. This should give you more XP than a duel using training weapons. If you want to get the most XP possible during each session, focus on blocking and use a weak weapon if possible.

A successful Master Strike will yield more XP than an ordinary hit. Try to go for those whenever possible if you’re using a sword as your main weapon.
