There was a time when fans suspected Sam Rockwell would return to the MCU in Armor Wars, but that project appears to have fallen apart before it began. Perhaps a Captain America 5 could see Hammer trying to steal Tony Stark’s technology, which leads to Sam Wilson teaming up with War Machine, Ironheart, or Rescue.

The Red Skull’s Daughter Could Lead To The Return Of Hydra

Sin is the daughter of the Red Skull in the comics, who would follow in her father’s footsteps in desiring global domination. Sin is the one who arranged for Crossbones to kill Steve Rogers in the Civil War storyline. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has yet to confirm that Red Skull ever had a daughter, but that also means that nothing says she doesn’t exist.

Even though Hydra was defeated in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age Of Ultron, it is unlikely that every single remnant of Hydra has died. Sin could be the perfect way to bring the organization back, while also being the first female villain for a Captain America movie. Since Sam Wilson is the next-generation Captain America, Sin could do the same for Red Skull.

Vermin would be perfect for that, especially since it’s never shown how many experiments Arnim Zola worked on during and after World War 2 for Hydra. It’s not outlandish to think that monsters like Vermin were created for nefarious purposes.

It was another smooth and show-stealing villain performance for Giancarlo Esposito, but the character was reduced to only ten minutes of screen time at the most, even though he deserved more.

Since Sidewinder did not die and even teased that he would see Captain America again, perhaps this could lead to his return. After all, in the comics, Sidewinder is the leader of a whole snake-themed group of villains called the Serpent Society, and they alone could be the plot of an entire sequel rather than a team of mercenaries that was seen in Brave New World.
