Throughout Avowed you can find treasure maps, which provide a painted image of a location where unique loot can be found. In the Emerald Stair, you can find the Painter’s Regret treasure map. It’s inside a farmhouse in the southeast area of Emerald Stair called Maxim’s Claim. If you start at the Maxim’s Claim Party Camp, the farmhouse can be found a short way to the north, sitting on an easel.
Where to find Painter’s Regret treasure
The treasure can be found on a cliff overhanging the river southeast of The Wildwoods. If you start at the Wildwoods Outskirts Party Camp, head south toward the river. Near the waterfall there is a small stretch of a wood fence, just beneath that down the cliff there is a small camp set up with an easel. In the chest there you can find the unique treasure called Painter’s Brush. The camp itself is overlooking the waterfall and is north of the Rootbound Godless Ruins.
Painter’s Brush is a trinket that provides a 5% critical hit chance when equipped. You can have one trinket equipped at a time. Unlike armor and weapons, it cannot be scrapped or upgraded, but it can be sold if you have no need for the boost.
Once you collect the treasure from the chest, it will mark the quest as complete, with no need to turn it with an NPC.
