I have no doubt it will move units. But let’s be honest here at just short of 75 million units sold on ps5 and north of 150 million switch units and a ton of hype for ns2 how are console sales struggling again it’s only Xbox that is struggling with 28 mil
There’s a significant player base who still play GTA online on PS4 and did not move to ps5 because it would have fractured their online communities given the game doesn’t support cross gen play.
There’s a ton of players out there who play one game and one game only and that’s GTA.
A new current gen entry would encourage players to migrate to some extent. But if you look at GTA IV there’s still a very active player base on ps3 to this day so not everyone will move but many will.
