How Should Each Stranger Things Season 5’s Character Arc End?
One Redditor shared their ideas for the end of every main character’s arc in in Stranger Things season 5. They think that Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin) and Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) rekindle their relationship, which many viewers would like to see. They also had a prediction for Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Will Byers (Noah Schnapp):
“Eleven and Will work together to close the upside down once and forever. Eleven almost dies of exhaustion but Will helping out prevents that from happening.”
While many fan theories focus on Eleven, it’s nice to imagine her and Will working together, especially since some fans want Will to have a bigger presence in Stranger Things season 5. The two share a lot of similarities, including feeling like they don’t belong all the time. They’re also both compassionate people who want to help others and save their friends and families.
As for Eleven and Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), the fan thinks:
“Eleven and Mike end up together. But go their separate ways and remember each other as their first love. She ends up working for an organization that tracks other super humans and helps them harness their powers.”
The fan thinks that Will finds love and lives in California while still playing Dungeons & Dragons. They also picture Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) getting a job at a school or running a daycare. As for the rest of the characters, they think Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) becomes a reporter in New York City, Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo) runs a comic book store, and Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) becomes a photographer. The Redditor added that while Jonathan and Nancy may or may not be a couple in the future, they think Dustin and Suzie Bingham (Gabriella Pizzolo) will be together.
All of these ideas sound both clever and realistic. After the tragic deaths in Stranger Things, fans want to see everyone doing well after facing Vecna in the big upcoming battle. It would be a shame not to see the characters finally getting the chance to see the world and focus on something other than the monsters of the Upside Down. While of course most Stranger Things episodes prioritize adventure and action over love stories, some of these relationships matter a lot to fans. Dustin and Suzy truly care about each other, and it would be nice to learn that they’ve found their way to each other in the future.
There are many storylines that the fifth season can explore, from a scary new dimension in Hawkins to possibly setting up a spinoff. But at the end of the day, fans keep coming back to one thing: wanting to see Eleven and her friends in a good place. Without some great news at the end of the series, Stranger Things won’t be a satisfying viewing experience.
Which Character Won’t Return In Stranger Things Season 5?
There are a few beloved characters who aren’t coming back for Stranger Things season 5. One of them is Argyle (Eduardo Franco), who offers comic relief in a few Stranger Things season 4 scenes. Argyle is a beloved character who adds a lot to each episode he’s in, and that’s important considering how many monsters the characters are battling. However, it’s sad not to see him again, especially since he has so many great lines of dialogue.
Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) is another popular Stranger Things season 4 character who, unfortunately, won’t be coming back. Although he does his best to fight Vecna, Eddie dies unexpectedly. While some fans would like to see Eddie again, there are a few reasons why Eddie needs to be left in the past. Most importantly, it would be corny to see Eddie as a ghost or in a flashback, and might not fit the tone of the series. While fans will be sad not to see Argyle or Eddie, they will hopefully be introduced to a few great new side characters in Stranger Things season 5.
