A few years ago, picking up a fast gaming monitor from a well-known brand for under $120 would have been near impossible, but those days are over. A prime example is this absolute steal of a gaming monitor deal, with this 180Hz Acer display now costing just $119.99, saving you $80 on Best Buy’s usual MSRP. For that price, you’ll be gaining a 24-inch panel with a full HD resolution, which combined with its 180Hz refresh rate makes this a fantastic budget purchase for gamers who love fast-paced action games.

Acer is no stranger to our best gaming monitor guide, with it consistently churning out top-tier displays. While this Acer Nitro Gaming XF243Y M3bmiiprx isn’t quite on the same level as the likes of the Acer Predator X45 – check out our Acer X45 review for the full low-down – it is a display packed with features that you’d only expect on pricier models.

This 24-inch (technically 23.8-inch) Acer monitor boasts a 1ms monitor response time. It also uses IPS LCD panel tech that typically offers better responsiveness than competing VA panels – making it ideal for fast-paced shooters – and boasts excellent viewing angles. The 180Hz refresh rate is another top selling point, helping to ensure that your gameplay will have buttery smooth visuals.

The monitor also includes support for AMD Freesync Premium, which means that this Acer can sync its refresh rate with your GPU’s output to stop that distracting on-screen tearing when you’re mid-game. There’s no information currently available about whether Nvidia G-Sync is also supported here. It’s usually the case that Freesync support means G-Sync will work, but it isn’t something we can guarantee from this monitor.

The rest of the monitor’s specs are pretty decent, with a choice between two HDMI 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort 1.2 port giving you plenty of options to connect up your PC and game consoles. It comes with a height-adjustable stand with swivel and tilt options, which isn’t always a given at this price point. There’s also a set of 2W integrated speakers, and although these won’t match the quality of some of the best computer speakers out there, such as seen in our Razer Nommo V2 Pro review, it’ll get you out of a jam if you mislay your headphones.

If that old, outdated 60Hz panel is screaming to be replaced, or you’re just thinking about treating yourself to a decent second monitor for your gaming rig, you’ll be hard to find a better option than this Acer Nitro model, especially for under $120. Click this link to grab this monitor from Best Buy, while stocks last, for just $119.99, down from Best Buy’s usual $199.99 price – that’s a saving of 40%.
