Despite the comic reaching its finale six years ago, Robert Kirkman has teased The Walking Dead’s continuation after the Deluxe reprint concludes, giving fans a beacon of hope for the source material’s revival. However, the live-action adaptations are thriving in the interim, with three spin-off series keeping fans’ appetite for zombies satisfied three years after the AMC parent show ended.

The Walking Dead Behind-The-Scenes Clip Reveals Shiva Without CGI
Posted on Reddit by LittleLostGirls, a GIF was shared on The Walking Dead subreddit, showing a rare behind-the-scenes shot of Shiva in action. However, instead of the fierce predator leaping into the air to attack Negan’s group, an actor in a blue suit can be seen jumping on a trampoline and flying towards one of the armed scavengers. This clip is similar to another behind-the-scenes shot showing how AMC filmed The Walking Dead’s iconic Atlanta scene, but this GIF is quite the spectacle for fans to witness.
The community believes The Walking Dead has a few glaring plot holes in its eleven seasons, and one Redditor added to the list by questioning how none of the scavengers saw a giant tiger running toward them. The original poster defended the tiger’s attack saying the Saviors were focused on a harrowing scene developing in front of them as Negan prepares to kill Carl with Lucille. Additionally, members of the subreddit agreed that this behind-the-scenes clip has the potential to be one of the biggest memes from the show, highlighting the success of the “blue man on a mission.” Finally, another fan’s comical comment said they noticed no difference between Shiva with and without CGI.
Shiva is an iconic animal character from the source material and a welcome addition to the comic book series during her debut in issue 118 and the AMC adaptation during seasons 7 and 8. The tiger is the right-hand warrior of self-proclaimed king Ezekiel Sutton, who rules over the community known as the Kingdom. During the season 7 finale, Shiva attacks a scavenger at Alexandria when Negan is preparing to kill Carl, treading down a darker path that Kirkman originally had in mind for Negan and Carl in the Savior Compound. Sadly, Shiva met her end during season 8, episode 4, when a zombie horde got the better of her, but her roaring presence during the apocalypse is hard to forget.
The Walking Dead Deluxe #107 will hit shelves on February 19, 2025, and The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 is expected to release in Spring 2025.
