No Man’s Sky has been around for nearly a decade, and both newcomers and longtime players would benefit from jumping in this year.

On Reddit, user YoungSchneezy shared multiple glimpses of “Ice Castle Eissentam,” a No Man’s Sky base they built within the Eissentam Galaxy, which is the 10th galaxy in the space exploration game. The post depicts the fantastical black castle, sporting a unique rocky aesthetic and walls made out of glass panels, built on the edge of a cliff with the scenic views of a snow-covered mountain range in the background. Pictures showing the interior of the structure reveal a stunningly luxurious stairway and hall, decorated with indoor rock pillars and ice statues. The surroundings of the castle also feature amenities, such as a helipad and a tower. Replying to the comments, YoungSchneezy revealed that the structure was built “mostly” using stone building parts obtained from the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion in the Space Anomaly in the game’s Normal Mode.

No Man’s Sky Fans Heap Praise on the Passionate Player’s Base

The castle-like base built by the creative No Man’s Sky player gained popularity on Reddit, getting over 2K upvotes and several positive comments. One user said that the base was “extremely impressive,” whereas another felt that it gave off a magical vibe and said “I think I could learn magic there!” Certain users felt that the structure could also pass as something from Skyrim‘s world, as they likened it to Skuldafn temple found in the Bethesda game.

In the meantime, players have been spending time exploring the game’s major new additions. On February 12, 2025, Hello Games released the highly awaited Worlds Part 2 update to No Man’s Sky, bringing increased diversity across in-game locations, and an improved lighting system, among other things.
