It’s been a long day of Counter-Strike at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, with just one more day left of the Group Stage. We officially have the majority of the Playoffs teams, with just three more to find in tomorrow’s matches. Come take a look at all of the key storylines from today’s matches!

Perhaps the biggest narrative to emerge from the latest day of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 is that MOUZ have fallen into the 2:2 bracket, after coming into this CS2 tournament hot in the 2:0 bracket. This puts MOUZ in the last-chance saloon to make the Playoffs of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, and after the last unconvincing two days, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see them miss out.

MOUZ were perhaps unfortunate to be matched up against Falcons in the 2:1 bracket, but after taking the first map, this is one they probably should have closed out. It all came down to the individual difference – where the likes of xertioN and torzsi struggled, NiKo and degster thrived for Falcons.

In the 2:1 bracket, three teams in total locked in their Playoff spots: Falcons, who we’ve already discussed, Eternal Fire, and paiN Gaming. When looking at the 16 teams attending PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, most would have put all these teams down as likely contenders to make it. Predictable, sure, but ultimately, it means we’re getting to see all the best teams make it to the stage.

These three join FaZe Clan and The MongolZ, both of whom became the first teams to make it to the PGL Cluj-Napoca Playoffs yesterday. It’s shaping up to be quite the spicy Playoffs bracket, and with $1.25 million on the line, there’s still so much to play for.

We’ve spoken about the winners – how about the losers of the day? With three teams securing Playoffs spots, three others have also been sent to de_airport: Wildcard, MIBR, and Complexity. A bad day at the office for the Americas, that’s for sure. There’s not much to say here – Wildcard and MIBR were wholly outclassed by BIG and Astralis respectively, and it wasn’t exactly a surprise to see them drop out.

I will say one thing, though. This was properly damning for Complexity. They were beaten 2:0 by a SAW team that has already confirmed that two of its players are kicked after this tournament. They didn’t just lose to a dead team – first, Complexity were 11:3 up and threw the map, then on map two, they were dismantled comfortably. I’m all for giving rosters time, but there’s a world where Complexity hit the panic button very soon.

Check out the remaining games in the 2:2 bracket for tomorrow’s final Group Stage matches!
