Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Wilds players can earn free Armor Spheres by participating in a limited-time “quest” on social media. If fans rise up to the challenge, all Monster Hunter Wilds players will receive the free Armor Spheres after launch, giving them a head-start on their journey as hunters.
Releasing on February 28, Monster Hunter Wilds is the next major entry in the long-running Monster Hunter series by Capcom. Before launch, players had the opportunity to participate in the second Monster Hunter Wilds open beta test and try out the game for themselves. Those who participated in the open beta test could earn free rewards that will be given in the full game, such as the Stuffed Felyne Teddy pendant and the OBT 2 Bonus Item Pack. Now, players have another opportunity to earn another bonus in the form of free Armor Spheres, which can be used to upgrade armor.

On the official Monster Hunter Twitter account, Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Wilds players have the opportunity to earn 100 Armor Spheres in a limited-time quest from Gemma. One Armor Sphere will be given per every 1,000 posts using the special hashtag #WildsArmorSpheres between now and February 23 at 7:00 p.m. PST / 10:00 p.m. EST. The main goal is 100,000 posts, which will award all players with 100 Armor Spheres each. The Armor Spheres will be distributed after the release of Monster Hunter Wilds, and Capcom plans to share details on directions for how to claim the free rewards soon.
Monster Hunter Wilds players can also expect new limited-time event quests after launch, and post-launch updates are also planned, similarly to the updates that Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise received. One of Monster Hunter Wilds’ first major updates is planned for release in spring 2025, and it will introduce the returning monster Mizutsune and new event quests. The free Armor Spheres may be useful in preparation to take on Mizutsune and other challenging monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds this year.
