More Games Should Turn Chores Into a Minigame, Like Blacksmithing in KCD2
I appreciate crafting systems in games, and after playing a lot of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 recently, I really wish more games turned things like blacksmithing into interactive minigames. Not only is it ultra immersive, but it also offers a nice break from all the questing and fighting.
In this guide, players will find all the information related to Exotic Wood, where to find it, and different ways to stock more quantities to craft the best end-game weapons, which require tons of rare materials.
Where To Find Exotic Wood In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Exotic Wood can be found in different locations throughout the map and can be a reward from a random encounter: Ambush By The Road. Players will have to defeat a group of bandits that have massacred merchants, and after beating them, they can loot whatever is left. Among the supplies, rare items like Fankfurt Steel and Exotic Wood might be found among the Merchant’s belongings.
Chests in Bandit Camps can also contain Exotic Wood among the random loot found inside. Meanwhile, players can get some extra Exotic Wood by Pickpocketing Carpenters and Merchants in the City, though this option is not recommended due to the high difficulty level.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – How To Get Better Prices
There are a few ways to get better prices in Kingdom Come: Deliverance to get the full value when selling something; here’s how.
Where To Buy Exotic Wood In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
The safest option to acquire a steady supply of Exotic Wood is to buy it from vendors. The following traders sell Exotic Wood, and players can get it for 32.8 Groschen from the following traders:
- The Carpenter, in Troskowitz
- General Merchant Jurg Thömel, in Troskowitz
- Grund, the Blacksmith in Kuttenberg
- Sebastian, the Blacksmith in Kuttenberg
- Zdimir, the Blacksmith in Kuttenberg
- Prokop Eldris, in Kuttenberg
Of course, players can always wait until midnight when all traders go to sleep and steal some from their shops. But, as the game progresses in difficulty after the points of no return, it is not advisable to steal or pickpocket since the guards can get really hardcore in the endgame. Choose carefully, it is always better to spend some Groschen in Exotic Wood than lose Henry’s neck to a ruthless city guard.
