How to Find the Drawn in Winter Unique Axe in Avowed

Players can find Drawn in Winter unique axe in the Watcher’s Mirror location in Dawnshore in Avowed. The location is just southeast of the Shrine to Woedica, and players visit this during the objective A of the Untimely Demise quest to find the Watcher. Getting the axe is pretty straightforward, but exiting the area after retrieving the axe can get a little tough. Let’s check out how you can get the axe and survive the enemy ambush afterward.

Interact with Ancient Memory & Take the Drawn in Winter Axe

For ease of direction, it’s recommended that you start from the fast-travel beacon near the Shrine to Woedica in Avowed. From the beacon, head east towards the cave opening and keep moving forward until you spot a white arch.

Heading through the arch, players will reach the Watcher’s Mirror location with a pond in the middle and an ancient memory at the end. Interact with the Ancient Memory to unlock Remembrance of Kishamal, which is a Godlike passive ability that will increase your maximum health by 10%.

Once you get the ability, turn around and head back. You’ll spot an ice pedestal rising from the pond, and the Drawn in Winter unique axe placed on top of it. Pick it up and equip the axe to start using it immediately. The axe does not only inflict a decent amount of damage on enemies, it also has the following abilities.

Fans of the God of War series will instantly recognize the Drawn in Winter axe to be an easter egg of the Leviathan Axe. It not only looks unique, but it also works the same way as well, freezing enemies on hits.

  • Rising Chill: Charged/Powered attacks will deal frost damage to enemies near the target.
  • Freezing Lash: Hits will deal 10% increased frost damage to enemies.

Survive the Skeleton Soldiers Ambush

After you grab the axe, some skeletal soldiers will start spawning from inside the pond. You’ll need to defeat all the enemies to get some helpful loot afterward. There are some regular soldiers in the mix, as well as mages that will heal the foot soldiers to max health. Make sure to target the mages first and take them out, preventing other soldiers from receiving heals.
