The world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has a lot of little things for you to do that can end up rewarding you greatly. One small mechanic that can easily go unnoticed is bird’s nests, which appear on a lot of trees found along main roads throughout the world.

While a bird’s nest may not seem like much, they can be knocked down and looted to give you useful items such as lockpicks or other shiny things such as jewelry. There are a few ways to knock down a bird’s nest, one of which is using a bow and arrows, though the cost of arrows makes missing a costly mistake. Here’s how to knock down a bird’s nest without using a bow or any arrows.

How To Knock Down Bird’s Nest With Rocks In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The most efficient and cheapest way to knock down a bird’s nest is to throw rocks and try to knock it down. To throw a rock, simply crouch down and hold the following button:

  • Playstation – R1
  • Xbox – RB
  • PC – G

Once you aim properly, release the button to throw the rock. As long as you are crouched, and can pick up a throw an infinite number of rocks, so it doesn’t matter how many times you miss when trying to hit the bird’s nest. Unlike a bow, rocks won’t be thrown perfectly where the reticle is at in the center of the screen, so it will take some getting used to when first learning how to perfectly hit your target.

Be sure to throw away from people, as accidentally hitting a person with a rock can lead to potential criminal issues.

When trying to throw a rock, it will usually be thrown down and to the right of where the actual reticle is, so aim slightly up and to the left of the actual nest. Henry’s aim with rocks is always the same, so as you keep practicing at it, you’ll get more efficient over time. While crouching, get as close to the tree as you can to also make the rock have less drop to take into account.

Keep an eye on the nest when you knock it down, as it can roll a surprising distance, especially if it is downhill. Nests also respawn after a few in-game days, so they can be a great source of high-value items that are safely farmed.
