Saving in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is not as straightforward as many other games. While there is a way to save through the main menu, this option requires you to have a Saviour Schnapps in your inventory that will be used to make the save file.

The 
Recipe for Saviour Schnapps
is the easiest to get in the game, as Pavlena will give it to you during the prologue of the game. Whenever the game fully opens up and you can free roam, the recipe will be in your inventory where you can learn it whenever you want. If for some reason you don’t have it anymore, it can be purchased at just about any apothecary in the game.
Brewing a Saviour Schnapps doesn’t require you to own the recipe in-game, and the following recipe can be followed to brew the potion.
To brew a Saviour Schnapps, you’ll need the following herbs:
Head to an Alchemy Bench and put those herbs up on the shelf to get started, here’s the recipe in order:
- Fill the cauldron with Wine.
- Add one handful of nettle and boil the brew for two turns.
- Grind two handfuls of Belladonna with the Mortar and Pestle.
- Add the ground-up Belladonna and boil the brew for one turn.
- Pour the potion into a Phial.
Depending on the quality of the herbs and how well you timed the boiling, you’ll get a corresponding quality of Saviour Schnapps
, though any version will let you save the game.
Higher quality Saviour schnapps will give a temporary boost to Strength, Vitality, and Agility.

Where To Buy Saviour Schnapps In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Saviour Schnapps is an incredibly common item to buy, though brewing it yourself will help you get it for cheaper. You can buy Saviour Schnapps at just about any Apothecary, General Trader, and Innkeeper in the game. They’ll usually only have one or two available at a time, but after a few in-game days, their stock will replenish, letting you buy more than enough to save whenever and wherever you want.
