The plot in this issue draws out all the elements of the battle between Senku’s Kingdom of Science and Dr. Xeno’s formidable empire. One of the specific features of this episode is the appearance of the mysterious and seductive character of Luna as a member of Dr. Xeno’s side. Using as her disguise a beautiful woman, Luna’s target is to infiltrate Perseus and track down the supposed scientific mastermind of the Kingdom of Science, Dr. Taiju, out of his hiding place to be sniped by Stanley, the marksman. She becomes the complexity of the emerging drama as she develops an internal issue but quickly brushes it off and says she’s okay with it. But is she really? It feels like she’s only okay with it because she has to; otherwise, Dr. Xeno might kick her out.
Though she really is beautiful, there is a lack in the extent of her intelligence, and this results in some funny scenes with Luna. Her endeavor to appear knowledgeable in the various scientific debates leaves the audience entertained due to the funny misconceptions that she displays. Her not figuring out that Senku is the science head, even with him creating vanilla essence in front of her eyes, closely questions her intelligence even more.

How Could You Not Love Vanilla Ice Cream?
Sticking true to its core, episode 6 does not refrain from introducing essential scientific concepts. A specific focus on creating ice cream, as said by Ryusui, is that no one hates ice cream, which is true, right? No one hates ice cream?! But what is ice cream without vanilla ice cream? So, as a true scientist and savior of ice cream, Senku takes it upon himself to create vanilla essence without vanilla. This culinary practice is an excellent example of people’s ability to invent and innovate, even when living in a post-apocalyptic environment.
If you don’t have something, you make do. Two million years of human tenacity. You reach into the fundamentals of reality-into the molecules-and make things that aren’t suppose to exist.
Although it is meant to be both informative and entertaining, there are several comedic incidents depicted and the overreactions of the team to their peculiar tastes. However, these silly scenes add comedic relief in the middle of the tension that is present all throughout the episode, portraying the characters’ endurance and friendship.

The highlight of the episode is perhaps the climax and finding out that Dr. Xeno was Senku’s old mentor. It is rather intriguing that the two would end up as adversaries with this kind of background to their future conflict, which is not a battle of intellect but a conflict with a deep-rooted personal history. The relationship of the mentor and the student adds an intriguing note of drama and conflict, since both are connected by the past but have chosen a different way of life.
There is tension building up, and the season is finally pacing nicely. With a great revelation and the crew in danger with spies on both sides, it’s only a matter of time before one side wins. Stanley, who is even prepared to spend days waiting for the right moment, which means the crew is pinned down unless Luna decides to betray Dr. Xeno and joins Senku and his team. This is getting exhilarating; get excited!
Humor Amidst Hostility Is All The Episode Needs
Though the episode ends on a serious note and the fight is still on, the underlying hilarious humor of the episode does not lose its footing. Even though the plot of the movie takes place in a very serious and dangerous situation, so do the characters’ facial expressions, especially when they are registered by the emotions of shock or anger that give a constant comedy relief. These instances also play an important role in adding humor to the show and, at the same time, help emphasize the plight of the characters and their achievements in a more personal way.
