If you just focus on the main story of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you can get through the game in a little over 20 hours. However, it’s heavily encouraged to let Henry stretch his legs and engage with the wider world of the game through sidequests.
Throughout every corner of both the Trosky and Kuttenberg maps, you can find a wide cast of interesting characters that require one of the many services that Henry provides. Most of these sidequests are detailed and last longer than you’d expect (with shorter quests categorized as activities or tasks), but which are the most fun to play through?

Hush, My Darling…
Kuttenberg – Miskowitz
One of the more unexpectedly busy areas in Miskowitz is the blacksmith’s house, where, after completing prerequisite tasks, Henry will be given some chores for the blacksmith’s wife. It all starts off pretty unassuming until you go to deliver horseshoes to the client, Victoria, only to find her missing and with a pool of blood in her room.
After some asking around, you’ll eventually learn of her love interest Black, a soldier in Sigismund’s camp. After Henry heals his digestive pain, it’s revealed that Victoria’s affection was becoming one-sided, and Black was actively avoiding her. He directs Henry to explore their usual meeting place, where he’ll discover the body of the heartbroken lover, dead next to a tree.

Lackey
Trosky – West Of Tachov
If Henry is looking to improve his marksmanship in the early game, there’s a good chance you’ve taken him to the archery range west of Tachov. However, upon visiting, Henry will be informed by the wife of the gamekeeper that her husband has been missing for a few days.
After getting some intel from the gamekeeper’s scornful son Vitek, he finds the missing Vostatek hiding in a tree from a pack of angry wolves. But it’s not over once the wolves are out of the way, as Henry needs to carry the drunken gamekeeper to his camp, only to find that his horse, Pepik has been stolen. So, after some tracking, you’ll have the choice to sneakily take the horse back from the thieves or try to take them all out. Either way, you’ll finally be able to get Vostatek back to his grateful wife after Pepik is saved.

In Vino Veritas
Kuttenberg – Kuttenberg City
The massive settlement of Kuttenberg City is full of distractions to keep Henry occupied for hours, but one of the first sidequests he’ll find ends up being one of the most entertaining. Recent vineyard owner Casper makes unfortunately awful wine, so Henry offers to help him scope out the rival vineyard owned by monks.
To get there, Henry will need to track down Casper’s wine book from his former affair partner Adleta, impress tavern owner Havel by passing his wine tasting test (or instead stealing his ledger), then get work in the vineyard as an excuse to snoop. It’s a convoluted chain of events that’s enjoyable to play through, but even after all that trouble, it’s doubtful that Casper will get any better at making wine.

Forbidden Fruit
Trosky – Lower Semine
Very early on in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Henry will have the choice of earning the trust of either the blacksmith or the miller (or both) to gain access to the seminal Semine wedding. If you choose the miller Kreyzl, Henry will get caught up in the criminal darkside of Lower Semine, and after multiple heists, Henry will finally learn of the miller’s true intentions.
Kreyzl wants to make a golem from flour, and apparently, the missing ingredient is saltpetre, a naturally occurring mineral found near rotting corpses. So Henry is sent on the humbling mission to do a day of work experience with Trosky’s resident gravedigger to gain his trust and track down his mass grave. This carriage ride around Trosky with the gravedigger is both calming and entertaining, with plenty to keep you busy, with confused farmer ambushes, finding the source of poisoned pig drinking water, and even an angry dog assassination attempt.

The Magic Arrow
Kuttenberg – Devil’s Den
Hub for most of the activities in the second half of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Devil’s Den attracts an interesting clientele, and that includes recently promoted bandit leader Pasha. He informs Henry that their recently deceased previous leader was powerful thanks to a ‘magic’ arrow that was stuck in his head after somehow surviving being shot.

Both of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance games are great, but which is better and by how much?
Wanting that power for himself now he’s taken over; Pasha enlists Henry to grave rob the arrow from Sedletz cemetery. When Henry finally gets the arrow back to Pasha, the eccentric bandit asks Henry to ‘bless’ him by shooting the arrow at him so he’ll be just like the previous leader. After Henry is convinced to take the shot, Pasha isn’t as lucky as the previous leader was, and you’ll end up needing to loot any quest rewards from Pasha’s corpse.

Bellatores
Kuttenberg – Bylany
Upon first arriving at Bylany in the Kuttenberg region, Henry will run into the honourable Sir Jan Posy of Zimburg, who’s looking for brave helpers to aid him in tracking down the Cumans who attacked the carriage he was escorting and kidnapping his brother.
If Henry agrees, he’ll do some CSI with Posy, and then track down the ruins of Zimburg castle, Posy’s old home (supposedly). While you can choose to run into battle with the help of Posy, thanks to the overwhelming enemy numbers, you’ll have much more luck stealthing to find the captured brother first, and then taking on the (albeit still tough) battle with a surprise attack from inside the ruins.

Bad Blood
Trosky – Bohzena’s Hut
After the eventful beginning of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, one of the earliest friendly faces you’ll meet is herbwoman Bohzena. After getting through the early hours, you can return to Bohzena to repay your debts, but upon doing so, you’ll find out that her daughter, Pavlena, is missing.
It turns out that Pavlena had started a relationship with Troskowitz local Roman, but on a picnic together, the pair were ambushed by farmhand Ota and his dog. It’s too late for you to save Roman, who didn’t survive the struggle, but you can manage to talk Ota into letting the kidnapped Pavlena go once you track them down. The highlight is upon convincing Ota that you’ll let him walk free if he let’s Pavlena go, the rightfully upset and recently traumatized Pavlena doesn’t let him off as easily, brutalizing him with his own sword as soon as he has his back turned.

Troubadours
Trosky – Upper Zhelejov
While there are comedic moments sprinkled all throughout Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the game, for the most part, has a quite serious tone, but a clear exception to this is the Troubadour’s quest line. Here, Henry will help out the haughty pair of pretentious bards, Michael and George, on their road to stardom.
This involves stealing them a lute, enlisting the help of Vostatek to repair its strings using sheep guts, and then finally working off the pair’s debts at the Zhelejov tavern (where they’ve been comfortably sitting and drinking as Henry runs around for them). But don’t worry, because instead of a monetary reward, he’s treated to a heartwarming (and frankly underappreciated) performance praising the ol’ reliable Henry upon completion.
