I first played the Metal Gear Solid trilogy huddled around a PS Vita. I’ve experienced the original versions of each game since, but nothing beats the first time you step into those now-iconic combat boots. That’s why the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater has a lot to live up to. Because while Konami is sticking to the script, Kojima’s original tale of Big Boss is one many of us have quite the attachment to. If you want the price of MGS Delta to go down easier, though, you can already nab it at a quarter off the asking price.
Even though the launch date for Metal Gear Solid Delta has finally been locked in, we’ve still got to wait a while. Konami’s remake for one of the best stealth games of all time might be a risky proposition, but the recent critical success of Silent Hill 2 at least shows that the developer knows how to revive a beloved videogame.
My colleague Jamie came away impressed after spending some time with MGS Delta, learning just how faithful it is to the original game. This is a sentiment Konami shares, as producer Noriaki Okamura says “In our opinion, the gameplay and then the storyline is perfect as it was. There’s no need to change it.”

Now, you can get prepared for Metal Gear Solid Delta all on your own.
