Despite her obvious name, Invisible Woman is an exceptionally unique and powerful Strategist in Marvel Rivals who fits well in various team comps and Strategist-focused metas. Her top-tier healing makes her widely accessible, while the rest of her kit offers solid versatility with abilities that focus on disrupting enemy lines.

Use your healing and stacked kit to support your team while invisibly slipping out of danger with Invisible Woman.
A good Invisible Woman can certainly be a nuisance — not only does she have all the right tools to make rapid retreats, but she can often hold her own in one-on-one Strategist matchups. When you also consider the fact that her Ultimate Ability provides the infamous temporary immortality, it’s no surprise she’s a popular pick. However, though she’s invisible, she’s not invincible, so a few key pointers can certainly go a long way.
How To Counter Invisible Woman
Invisible Woman’s proficiency in crowd control is what makes her a lingering threat. With her Psionic Vortex and Force Physics abilities, she can relieve pressure from herself and her teammates while putting you at a positional disadvantage. They’re her primary escape mechanics, complementing the rest of her kit to make a complete package.
For her healing abilities, the main things you’ll need to watch for are the Guardian Shield and her Ultimate Ability, Invisible Boundary. The shield serves as a 300-HP barrier that heals allies behind it while absorbing incoming damage.
The ultimate, on the other hand, casts a forcefield that hides and massively heals teammates. Like Luna and Mantis’ ult, it makes them practically unkillable, so it’s a powerful move for contesting and retaking objectives.
Invisible Woman’s weakness, however, lies in the fact she can’t consistently heal herself, so the best way to counter her is to dive or flank her and go for a quick kill. Similar to her abilities, you can use disruption-based techniques to isolate her; once you do that, she’s essentially helpless with no real backup.
If you go with the aggressive approach, you need to maintain pressure to prevent Sue from escaping. The general combo she likes to do is Force Physics followed by a double jump, triggering her invisibility and self-healing. Of course, as the backbone of the team, she can’t stay idle for long, so you should keep up the hunt until she’s forced to reveal herself.
A good way to inflict damage that beats out Invisible Woman’s healing is by using AoE attacks.
How To Counter Invisible Woman As A Vanguard
Given how a Vanguard’s sluggish movement plays into Invisible Woman’s strengths, this is arguably the last role that should be targeting her. The most you can do is either block her incoming projectiles with Doctor Strange’s Shield of the Seraphim or Magneto’s Metal Curtain, but, in most cases, you should stay on the frontlines and keep Sue busy while your flankers look for an opening to knock her out.
Groot is definitely your best bet for countering Invisible Woman; he can use his Thornslash and Ironwood walls to either box her in for an easy kill or segregate her from her teammates. On the flip side, Thor and Hulk can opt for the lethal route by using their Storm Surge and Radioactive Lockdown abilities, respectively, to make Sue vulnerable.
Groot is highly susceptible to getting thrown off ledges by Invisible Woman’s Force Physics!
The idea behind these tactics is to simply lower her effectiveness as a Strategist — the more you keep her confined, the worse she’ll perform.
How To Counter Invisible Woman As A Strategist
As a Strategist, you have two main ways to counter Invisible Woman: keep her occupied with relentless offense or outheal her. With that in mind, Cloak and Dagger offer the best of both worlds — Dagger’s healing has a wider range while affecting more targets, Cloak can lock onto Sue with his Terror Cape and primary fire, and the pair’s Ultimate Ability charges much faster.
As a general rule, you should activate your Ultimate Ability simultaneously with Invisible Woman’s. This ensures your allies have the same temporary mass healing as the enemy team.
Healing-wise, Luna Snow’s pretty much in the same ballpark as Invisible Woman, but the fact her ultimate is significantly stronger makes her a more enticing support pick. Jeff The Land Shark, alternatively, can force Sue into a tricky position by staying in the backlines and attacking her. He can even use his Ultimate Ability to swallow her mid-ult, effectively cutting it short.
How To Counter Invisible Woman As A Duelist
Melee Duelists excel at being assassin heroes and attacking from unsuspecting locations, making them the perfect counterpick for Invisible Woman.
Magik seems to be the optimal candidate for a hard counter thanks to her monstrous damage output, pouncing on Sue and killing her in an instant with Umbral Incursion. Black Panther is another solid pick, blitzing past her attacks while chipping away her HP to the point she can’t keep up.
Other flankers, like Iron Fist, Spider-Man, and Psylocke, are also a great counter for Invisible Woman, but Magik and Panther generally have the upper hand because of their consistency. Wolverine could work in some instances, but Sue will usually hinder his ability to take down Vanguards, so it might not be as intuitive.
As for ranged Duelists, Namor is definitely the go-to hero in this matchup, summoning his octopuses to steadily weaken Invisible Woman with chip damage. Iron Man and Storm are also soft counters, using their range and AoE attacks to either force her away from the team or just overwhelm her with multiple targets to heal.
