Summary
- Like previous entries, Monster Hunter Wilds lets players add custom text to their stickers.
- As you’d probably expect, this has resulted in a lot of memes, and a lot of plain rudeness.
- Wilds doesn’t seem to have much moderation, so here’s hoping they at least remain friendly.
Monster Hunter Wilds lets players add custom texts to their stickers, and it’s already going about as well as you’d expect since there seems to be very little in the way of moderation.
Considering how massive Monster Hunter World, Rise, and pretty much all of the series’ games have been, Monster Hunter Wilds is primed to be one of the hottest games of 2025. With that undeniable success in mind, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise to see how confident Capcom is in Wilds, with the studio giving potential players plenty of chances to try the game out.

It’s better to know now if your machine can’t handle Monster Hunter Wilds
Thanks to the ongoing open beta, Monster Hunter players have had ample opportunity to go hands-on with Wilds and experiment with its mechanics before the February 28 launch. That includes the online features, such as the oft-forgotten ability to add custom text to stickers, which players are already doing in exactly the way you’d expect.
Monster Hunter Wilds Players Are Creating Some Interesting Custom Stickers
Over on the Monster Hunter subreddit, Redditor kiaxxl shared an interesting PSA for players and informed them that custom text can be added to the game’s roster of stickers. For those unfamiliar, stickers are short messages and notes that can be shared during hunts, and they’re usually very tame cartoons featuring Monster Hunter characters.
With custom text, though, it’s another story altogether. The ones that kiaxxl shared in their Reddit post are fairly sensible (with my favourite being the “I’m useless” one), but the comments section shows a different direction is being taken by other players. Some of the stickers include memes, such as an “absolute cinema” one, while others, including one that just says “Gooning!”, are just plain rude.
So far, I’ve not seen any that outright seem offensive (although I bet that will change), but it seems that players have a lot of freedom. How they’re using that freedom, including just putting “Nice c**k”, is another matter altogether, but it looks like stickers are going to be quite a riot in Wilds. Let’s just hope they’re kept mostly friendly, eh?
