Summary
- Marvel Rivals players want Cosmo the Spacedog to come to the game.
- His psychic powers and adorable looks would fit the game perfectly.
- Move over Jeff.
Marvel Rivals fans are spoilt. Not only do they have a great game with a healthy content pipeline, but when they spoke out against mid-season ranked resets, NetEase immediately walked back its plans to do so. It seems like things could only get better from here.
With The Thing and Human Torch finally joining Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman on February 21, all the announced characters for the game will soon be available. While there are still a few more X-Men that have been leaked, Marvel Rivals players have started making character wishlists. The most requested of these characters is a certain psychic dog.
Who’s A Good Space Boy?
Cosmo the Spacedog captured our hearts in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and again in the game. This time, however, fans want to play the astro-dog in Marvel Rivals. Not only would he – or she, in the MCU’s case – be a great fit for the hero shooter, but would give Jeff some competition in the best boy category.
The case was made via a post on the Marvel Rivals subreddit by RedEyesGoldDragon. Of course, any game could do with more doggos. “I don’t see cosmo recommended enough,” agrees one comment. “The abilities would be great, maybe a psychic healer/attack and they are just a good dog.”
Others suggested Ults for Colmo, like, “Puppy Dog Eyes – 12 second cooldown. Opponents’ hearts melt when looking into Como’s eyes. Opponents are unable to take action for 3 seconds due to extreme adorability.”
Of course not everyone was on board with the idea, but not because they had anything against Cosmo. “I’d be OK with cosmo being part of an ult or something. Please don’t make me repeatedly kill a retriever dog.”
Speaking of how much the community loves Marvel Rivals, players have found an account that has 2749.9 hours of game time in Marvel Rivals, playing 18,106 matches. While that’s… impressive, it amounts to 14 and a half days of constant gameplay, and Marvel Rivals has only been out for 68 days.
