Henry must make a tough choice during the Necessary Evil quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 after learning some important information from an imprisoned bandit. Players discover a rebellion plot directly tied to the bandits who attacked Henry’s traveling party at the beginning of the game.

Olda Semine has been accused of working with the bandits who attacked Otto von Bergow and is wreaking havoc on the land. However, Henry must decide if he is going to tell von Bergow about Semine’s part in things or let him focus on the bandits. KCD2 players can use this guide to make the best decision on whether they should turn Semine in or not.

Turn Semine in or Not Decision Guide – Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Turn Semine in or Not Choice Guide

After talking to the prisoner and choosing the correct responses, Henry will get the tip that Olda Semine is working directly against Otto von Bergow with the bandits who attacked them during the Easy Riders quest. Not only that, but the rest of his family might also be involved, although the prisoner denies that. Hans isn’t sure what they should do and ultimately leaves it up to Henry to decide if they will tell von Bergow the whole truth.

Don’t Turn Semine In Outcome

Henry and Hans will meet with von Bergow and his guard captain, Hashek, when ready to tell him what they’ve learned. Players will get two social options regarding Lord Semine: “Young Semine is in league with the Bandits” or “Nobody helped the bandits here.”

If players choose to lie and tell him that nobody helped the bandits, the main story quest ends there. However, lying will require a HARD skill check if players told Otto von Bergow during the previous quest that Olda left his wedding early.

Turn Semine In Outcome

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Turn Semine in

If players choose to tell von Bergow about Semine’s involvement, he will send Henry and Hans with Hashek to confront the noble family. Hashek has to gather his men so players will have time to do anything else they need to. Once ready, find Hashek and head out towards Semine.

Hashek is very hostile toward the elder Semine straight from the jump. Hashek presses Lord Semine to turn over Olda so he can be prosecuted for his crimes against von Bergow. At this point, Henry has another hard choice. Semine asks Henry and Hans what is happening, and Henry can choose “We’ll sort it out peacefully.” or “Hashek is right.” Semine’s resistance doesn’t deter Hashek, and he insists they hand Olda over, or he’ll burn the place down. Semine will confess that Olda has some involvement with the bandits but denies he killed or hurt anyone.

Side With Semine

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Fight Hashek

Choosing to try and talk things out peacefully will lead to Henry and Hans siding with Semine and fighting Hashek and von Bergow’s men. If this is the way players want to go, they must select the following social options:

  1. You can’t do that!
  2. You’re going too far!
  3. I’m going to stop this.

A fight will break out, and players must kill all of von Bergow’s men. If this happens, Henry and Hans must cover their tracks by faking Olda and Lord Semine’s death and burning down their estate. They will have to lie to Otto von Bergow when they return to Trosky to report what happened. The easiest way out of things is to let Hans do all the talking.

Henry will be hanged if he confesses to turning on Hashek.

Side With Hashek

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Side With Hashek

Players can also choose to bring Semine to justice and side with Hashek by selecting the following social responses:

  1. Hashek is right.
  2. We have a witness.
  3. Listen to him, Semine!
  4. Hashek is right.

Again, a fight breaks out, and players have to kill all of Semine’s men. After defeating the soldiers, Hashek orders his men to find Olda and kill all the citizens in the fortress. He will do this regardless of whether Henry protests or not.

Henry must then search Semine’s fortress and find Olda as Hashek’s men slaughter everyone left. He is located at the top of the estate’s tower. Henry and Olda will have a short conversation before Henry must choose to arrest him or let him escape. If players want to let him go, Henry and Hans must fight Hashek and his men alone. Then it plays out similarly to if they had sided with Semine in the first place, and they have to lie to von Bergow.

If players arrest Olda, they will all return to Trosky and report to von Bergow. They can call Hashek out for his unnecessary cruelty or let it go. Either way, the quest will end, and the next one will start.
