In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, players have several options for their Henry’s playstyle. They can be knights and rely on brute force and strength or take a more diplomatic approach and stack their Charisma points. For those who wish to avoid confrontations, they can use stealth and secrecy to handle certain situations.
Poison is a useful option if Henry wants to avoid a fight or if he is dealing with large numbers. Bandit or Enemy camps are bothersome and full of valuable materials, clothes, and weapons so taking them down has many positives. However, taking on 4–6 people at once is no easy feat, so using Poison makes things easier. This guide has everything KCD2 players need to know to find and poison bandit camps.

How to Poison Bandit Camps in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Enemy bandit camps are typically found outside the Settlements throughout Bohemia. Players will run into several in Apollonia, and they are hostile on sight. Once players discover an enemy camp, it is marked on their map. It isn’t wise to fight multiple enemies during the day unless players have good armor and strong weapons. Instead, players can poison their food or drink barrels to take enemies out with minimal effort.
How to Get Poison
Before they can make a move on an enemy camp, players must make sure they have poison in their inventory. They have two options to get poison:
- Purchase poison
- Brew poison at an Alchemy Bench.
Poison can’t be bought from just any merchant due to its nefarious nature, but there are places if players know where to go. There is a man called Herbalist Barnaby north of Trosky Castle Henry can visit. He sells several types of poisons, recipes, and ingredients. Players can also get poison and recipes from Aranka in the Nomad Camp. The recipes cost a pretty penny, so be prepared with Groschen.
There are three types of poison that Henry can get. See the table below for information on all three and what their effects are.
Poison |
Affects |
---|---|
Bane Poison |
Makes running impossible and reduces Health by 110 in 45 seconds. |
Dollmaker Poison |
Makes running impossible and reduces all weapon skills by 3. Gradually reduces Health by 20. |
Lullaby Poison |
Reduces Energy to 0 and decrease perception. Reduces Stamina and Stamina regeneration by 10% for a quarter of a day. |
Bane Poison is the best option for poisoning Bandit camps in KCD2, but players can also use Dollmaker, although it won’t be as effective.

How to Use Poison in Enemy Camps
Once players have their poison of choice, they can use it to poison bandit camps. Camps usually have one cooking cauldron and a drink barrel. Henry must pour the poison into the cauldron or barrel without being seen and have everyone eat or drink from it to poison the camp successfully. Not everyone drinks around the same time, so poisoning the food is more reliable.
The best way to do this is to use stealth and wait until the camp is sleeping to ensure nobody will see Henry. There are clothes Henry can wear to boost his Stealth stats. Players can scout the camp to figure out their eating habits, but most of the time they will eat right after waking up and before bed. If waiting until all the enemies are asleep isn’t an option, Henry can throw rocks or have Mutt bark to draw their attention away from the cooking pot.
Players must make sure they time it right, so everyone in the camp eats around the same time after using the poison. If not, they may realize the food has been tampered with and make a new pot.
Henry must play a waiting game after he spikes the pot. The Bane poison kicks in pretty fast, so as long as most of the enemy camp ingests it, Henry can take out most if not all of them. Henry can take down any survivors as needed.
