Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is the latest racing game to feature the blue blur. There have been many kart racers using the Sonic the Hedgehog IP, mostly in the form of the Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing franchise. However, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds will feature only characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.

Each of these games likes to put a unique twist to separate them from past game’s formulas, which worked well with both the Sonic and non-Sonic franchise characters in the games. Such as vehicles that transform or having to race as a team to boost your allies. CrossWorlds will have racers making use of a mechanic called Travel Rings to change tracks in the middle of races.
