How to Get the Last Light of Day Unique Sword in Avowed

Players can find the Last Light of Day unique sword after completing the Dawntreader quest in Avowed. To start Dawntreader, players need to head inside the Eothasian Temple found at the end of Pilgrim’s Path on the northern side of Dawnshore.

Before entering the Eothasian Temple, you’ll find two NPCs requesting the Envoy to find the lost expedition group that has gone missing in the caves. Players will then enter the Temple of Eothas and meet up with Oracle Sargamis, who’ll task players to find a missing artifact to display on the large statue.

You’ll need to find the artifact and the missing expedition group deep within the temple of Eothas to get the Last Light of Day unique sword in Avowed. Here’s what you’ll need to do.

Finding the Artifact & Lost Soldiers in the Eothasian Temple

Players will first head inside the pathway behind the Oracle and follow the cave systems until they arrive in a big open section with spider enemies. After clearing the area, use the rocks to vault over the broken stairway on the right and enter a temple. After you grab the Splinter of Eothas, you’ll be amused by an army of dead and their boss.

After clearing out the army, exit the temple and use the rock formations to head across the drowned section. After entering the tight cave, crouch under the small gap on the right and drop into a room with purple hues. Here, you’ll discover the bodies of the lost expedition. After having a conversation with your companion(s), exit the room and return to Sargamis.

Defeating Sargamis & Taking the Last Light of Day Sword

Now you’ll need to confront Sargamis about the dead bodies of the expedition to learn a shocking truth. Usually, you’ll have two paths to end the Dawntreader quest, either attack the Oracle Sargamis or help him initiate the large statue.

To get the Last Light of Day unique sword, you’ll need to choose the option to attack Sargamis, starting a boss fight with him. After defeating Sargamis, you can loot his body to retrieve the Last Light of Day unique sword. It’s one of the best early-game weapons with great damage output and amazing skills, that can carry you through mid to late-game in Avowed.
