After going through the Strangleroot area and finding your assassin in Paradis in Avowed, you’ll head over to Emerald Stairs for the next part of your journey. This area is filled with moss and undead enemies since it’s home to people who practice Animancy.

Getting the perfect unique armor is important in Avowed as you won’t be able to survive the battles without them in the late game.
Much like the Dawnshore area, you can find a special structure called the Pargrun Cache here as well. After solving a few puzzles here, you can get your hands on some rare treasure, which is great especially if you’re a magic user.
Where To Find Emerald Stairs Pargrun Cache
When you first enter Emerald Stairs, you start at its southeastern corner, so you have quite a long journey to the Pargrun Cache from here. You can find the cache in the western part of the area, right below the giant Delemgan Glade. Head southwest from the Wildwoods Plateau party camp and you’ll see its entrance.
As you enter this location, you’ll first have to battle a bunch of skeletons, so it’s also important to raise the tier of your weapons before coming here. Once you’ve defeated them, head to the top of the slope area and jump on the building to your left.
Here, you’ll see a wooden plank that you can cross to see a small gate letting you into the cache.
How To Explore Emerald Stairs Pargrun Cache
After you enter the small door and take the stairs leading down, you’ll see a cage door on your right. You should open this door right away as it allows easier access to the cache if you ever want to return. Once that’s done, here’s how you can get all the treasure in this area:

After opening the door, take the path deeper into the cache and you’ll find a locked door with a generator beside it. You can activate this generator using Giatta’s ability, throwing an Electric Lily Seed at it, or using an Electric weapon.
Once it’s open, go forth and jump to the left side first where you can find a bunch more Electric Lily Seeds. After claiming those, keep going deeper and you’ll notice a breakable wall on your right with your first chest inside.

After claiming the purple chest in this hidden area, you can move to the next part where you’ll have to first defeat a few shades. After that, head to the left room with an open door and look through the gap.
You’ll see another generator that you can activate by throwing an Electric Lily Seed at it through the gap. This will let you get the golden chest in between with Od Caura’s Grimoire in it.

After claiming this chest, you’ll see another hole to its right side in the room where you can activate another generator. This will open the rightmost door, leading you to the final purple chest in the cache.
Getting all three of these chests will complete your Emerald Stairs Pargrun Cache exploration, but you can still look around for some plants, weapons, and other small loot.
