How To Complete The Ashfall Bestiary In Fisch
The Ashfall Bestiary features nine fish that look different from those found in other bestiaries. They have an orangish hue and volcano-like patterns, giving the impression that they came from deep beneath the ocean, from a place undiscovered—just like how Dr. Finneus describes them in his quest.
Roslit Volcano Location In Fisch
The Ashfall Event is based on the Roslit Volcano’s eruption in Fisch, which is located in Roslit Bay. To find all the Ashfall Bestiary fish, you will need to head to this area. Start by getting a boat from the Shipwright and sailing east on the map.
Roslit Bay sits between the Grand Reef and Forsaken Shores islands, and there’s a pointer in the ocean to make it easier to find. The Roslit Volcano itself is located on the southeast side of Roslit Bay.
When you get there, you’ll see lava spilling over the ocean—this is the exact spot that players will need to fish at. Just keep reeling in the lava to catch all the volcanic fish.

How To Catch All Ashfall Bestiary Fish In Fisch
Here are some tips to help you finish up the Ashfall Bestiary in Fisch:
- Since baits are key to catching the volcano fish, make sure to gather the ones they prefer. The first eight baits listed above can be found in Bait Crates, available for purchase at Moosewood. To get Coal Bait in Fisch, you’ll need to open a Volcanic Geode, which you can obtain by fishing at the Roslit Volcano or by buying them from the Traveling Merchant.
- Make sure to keep some Windset Totems, Tempest Totems, Smokescreen Totems, and Sundial Totems on hand to easily switch between weather conditions.
- For tougher fish like the Ashcloud Archerfish, you can also use high-luck baits like Weird Algae or apply boosters such as Server Luck. If you don’t have Robux, you can purchase Merlin VI for 5,000 in-game cash, which grants a 30% luck boost for 10 minutes.
