Gods & Demons Hero Tier List: Best Heroes Ranked
In Gods & Demons, choosing the right Heroes can make all the difference in battle. Each Hero brings unique abilities, strengths, and synergies, shaping the outcome of encounters in both PvE and PvP. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting, understanding which Heroes perform best will help you build a powerful and effective team.

This Gods & Demons Tier List evaluates Heroes based on their overall impact, versatility, damage potential, utility, and survivability. While some Heroes excel in nearly every scenario, others may be more specialized or require specific team compositions to shine.
To make the rankings clear and structured, Heroes are categorized into five tiers:
- Overpowered (S+) – These are the most powerful and game-changing Heroes. They dominate in multiple aspects of the game, offering high damage, utility, or exceptional survivability. A must-have for any team.
- Strong (S) – Strong and reliable Heroes that perform well across various game modes. They may not be as overpowered as S+ tier picks but are still excellent choices.
- A (Average) – Solid Heroes with decent abilities. While they may not be the best, they hold their own and can be effective in the right hands or team setups.
- Average (B) – These Heroes have niche uses and can be strong in specific circumstances, but they generally require precise strategies or synergies to maximize their potential.
- Poor (C) – Heroes in this tier struggle to make a significant impact. They are often outclassed by others in the same role and may require extensive investment to be viable.
Tier | Assault | Tank | Magic | Support |
---|---|---|---|---|
Overpowered (S+) | Orpheus, Sapphira | Grox | – | Ostara, Arkanas |
Strong (S) | Rachel, Throxis | Goron, Valdedio, Ark | Freni | Seraphel, Liana |
Good (A) | Canaan, Rein, Argos, Luxey | – | Sefran, Flamia, Ella | Luna |
Average (B) | Grom, Grol, Shang Qi | Billy, Testra, Cutton | Theros, Ayse, Blazing Inferno, Kazakhs, Sutton, Syliss | Alice, Haruka |
Poor (C) | Rhea, Rick, Uzi, Cutie, Fluffy, Beanie | Summoner, Gru, Brazer, Krohn, Little Blue, Little Purple, Little Green | Karl, Essen, Nana, Lily, Yan Yan | Sylvian |
After extensive gameplay and analysis, this tier list serves as a valuable guide for beginners, highlighting the best Heroes to improve performance in battles and strategic encounters. However, Hero’s effectiveness depends on team synergy and personal play style. Some Heroes may be more valuable in specific situations, so adaptability is key to maximizing their potential.
Best Assault Hero – Orpheus
Orpheus is, without a doubt, one of the strongest heroes right now. His ability to deal massive AoE (area of effect) damage makes him an excellent choice for both PvE and PvP battles. What sets him apart, though, is his passive ability, once he drops below a certain health threshold (50% at first, then 60%, and finally 70% at higher levels), he enters a powered-up state where his attacks hit harder, faster, and become nearly unstoppable. His skills scale incredibly well, making him a must-upgrade if you manage to pull him. He can single-handedly turn the tide of a battle, wiping out groups of enemies before they even have a chance to react.
Best Assault Hero – Sapphira

Sapphira is another strong choice, though she plays a different role from most DPS. She can deal AoE damage to enemies and provides a steady stream of periodic damage, making her a great alternative if you do not have Orpheus. She might not be as game-changing as Orpheus, but she’s still a solid option.
Best Tank Hero – Grox
Grox, the Indestructible Power King, is hands down the best tank in the game. He has an insane amount of durability and can taunt enemies, forcing them to attack him instead of his allies. This makes him incredibly useful in both PvE and PvP since he can soak up damage while your damage dealers wipe out the enemy team.

But his kit doesn’t stop there, he also has a curse ability that makes enemies take additional damage after two turns, meaning that even while he’s absorbing attacks, he’s making sure his enemies suffer for it. And if all of that wasn’t enough, he has a built-in revive, letting him return to the battlefield once per fight. If you need a tank that just won’t die, Grox is the best pick.
Best Magic Hero – Freni
Freni is an incredibly strong magic DPS unit with insane AoE damage. Her skills allow her to apply Bleed to enemies, which already makes her a strong choice, but the real magic happens when she fights alongside other heroes who also inflict Bleed.

If an enemy is already bleeding, Freni can use her special ability to apply Silence, effectively locking them out of their skills. With the right team, she can silence-lock enemies, making them completely useless for multiple turns. This makes her one of the strongest picks for controlling fights while dealing massive amounts of damage.
Best Support Hero – Ostara
Ostara is easily the best healer in the game right now. She doesn’t just heal, she mitigates incoming damage, making your team much harder to take down. On top of that, she buffs allies’ Attack and Critical Rate, turning even average DPS units into deadly threats.

What’s even crazier is that when she dies, she still provides healing and additional buffs to her remaining allies. This makes her an incredibly powerful unit in long fights, as she keeps the team alive even from beyond the grave. If you get her, she’s worth investing in because she can fit into almost any team composition.
Best Support Hero – Seraphel
Seraphel is an amazing support hero with the ability to revive fallen allies. She also provides solid team-wide healing, making her a fantastic pick if you need to sustain in long battles. While she might not be as powerful as the Goddess of Light – Ostara, she is still an outstanding choice if you don’t have Ostara yet. Her healing scales well, and her revive ability can completely shift the momentum of a fight. If you’re looking for a healer who can bring back your best units after they go down, Seraphel is your girl.
Final Thoughts
One of the best things about Gods & Demons is its balanced and stable meta. Unlike other games where power creep forces older characters into irrelevance, Gods & Demons ensures that standard heroes remain viable for long periods. Every character in the base roster is designed with a strong, evergreen kit, meaning they don’t get overshadowed immediately when new limited heroes appear.
This approach allows players to invest in their favorites without worrying about sudden obsolescence. While limited-time heroes do introduce new mechanics and unique synergies, they are designed to complement rather than completely outclass existing characters. This keeps the meta fresh without making older teams useless, allowing for long-term strategic play instead of a constant chase for the next broken unit.
