March 7th is an interesting Honkai: Star Rail character because she doesn’t remember anything from her past. Found frozen in six-phased ice in the middle of space before the events of Honkai: Star Rail, the Astral Express Crew took her in after finding out that she has amnesia and essentially no home to speak of.
Ever since Honkai: Star Rail‘s earlier versions, many fans have speculated on March 7th’s origins, as well as the possibility of her getting her own 5-star version, like fellow co-protagonist Dan Heng. There have also been many rumors about March’s potential alternate form and backstory, but they’ve yet to come into fruition.

March 7th’s Next Form May Come Sooner Than Later
March 7th’s Current Status in Honkai: Star Rail
March 7th is one of the first free 4-star characters that players get in Honkai: Star Rail. Her original form is an Ice-type Preservation character, who fights enemies with a bow and arrow and provides shields to allies. March later received a 4-star Imaginary-type The Hunt variant, turning her into a viable support DPS, and an alternate skin for her Preservation form. If it’s true that March will get a 5-star form in the near future, she’ll be the first Honkai: Star Rail character apart from Trailblazer to get three variants.
Emanator of Remembrance
An Emanator is a person who has attained the permission to draw power from an Aeon. Some known Emanators in Honkai: Star Rail are Acheron (Nihility) and Herta (Erudition).
There had been a number of theories and rumors in the past that March 7th might be an Emanator of Remembrance because she has six-phased ice abilities that may have come from the Aeon, Fuli the Remembrance. Honkai: Star Rail has yet to confirm this information, but the current Amphoreus chapter might answer this theory soon.
There’s said to be three Paths fettered to Amphoreus, one of them being Remembrance. In Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0’s story, Trailblazer encounters Fuli firsthand when they receive the power of Remembrance and meet Mem the Memosprite. It’s likely that this won’t be the last time players will encounter the Aeon in Amphoreus.
Rumored Role in Amphoreus
A previous leak from Dimbreath and Ubatcha claimed that March 7th might get a new form in Amphoreus, hinting at a significant role in the arc. The variant has a codename “Dark March,” which is simply a descriptor and doesn’t necessarily pertain to the character turning evil. However, her design might take on a darker tone, which would be completely different from her usual bright color palette.
More leaks have since come out that March’s new form might be named “Aetiphia,” and might be released in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.6. This seems to be a new character as she’s not listed as a known Amphoreus character yet, and it’s possible that she might be one of the unknown Chrysos Heirs.
Interestingly, March is actually not on Amphoreus with Trailblazer and Dan Heng because she fell ill when the Astral Express came close to the planet’s vicinity. But at the end of Version 3.0’s story, Himeko finds March sleeping with ice surrounding her bed. So, it’s possible that Amphoreus may be unlocking a hidden power within her, which the leaks have been hinting at.
Rumored Kit
March 7th’s rumored 5-star form is said to follow the Path of Remembrance because she reportedly has a Memosprite. One rumor claims that the Memosprite might have a max stamina of around 300. No other details have come out about March’s potential 5-star abilities, but if previous Honkai: Star Rail characters with alternate forms are any indication, it’s likely that this rumored new form won’t be the same support character as her original form.
