The Hold Slot is used to store the topmost card in play. Thereafter, it reveals the card beneath it. You can tap it again to bring it back into play whenever needed no matter what card is on the top. You can unlock the locked cards using the key card present on the table. Also, the Wild Card allows you to select any card, irrespective of the card currently in play.
You can also add extra cards to the deck available on the board sometimes to give you more options. The game also offers a Collection Card Pack reward when you win a level with long streaks and combos. The pack contains memories of a certain postcard placed in the form of cards. These automatically get stored in the Album.

Familiar Boosters from the Candy Crush universe make an appearance in the form of cards. Some of these are:
- Color Bomb – The Color Bomb card eliminates all available cards of a specific color, allowing you to clear The Tableau more easily
- Lollipop Hammer – The Lollipop Hammer card removes any specific card from the boards, offering ease during tough spots
- UFO – The UFO Booster card helps to remove three random cards from the initial board.

When you clear the same color cards or cards having alternating color sequences, you’ll create combos and get double rewards. By creating long streaks, you’ll fill the Streak Meter, earn coins, and will be able to clear the level more easily.
2. Use the Hold Slot for a more Strategic Play
The Hold Slot stores the current card and reveals the previous card played. You can use it to remove cards of the same rank be it any color or suit. The cards on the board can be matched with the card in the Hold Slot at any time. So, use it carefully according to the cards left to clear on the table. In case of minor mistakes, you can reverse some of your moves for free. The Hold Slot provides an opportunity for better and more strategic gameplay.
3. Utilise the Candy Crush Boosters
The Boosters seen in the Candy Crush Solitaire are mostly the same as in the Candy Crush Saga. The Lollipop Hammer, Colour Bomb, Fish Chip, and more, are all in the form of cards. They are helpful when you’re stuck on tricky or difficult levels.
If they’re not freely available, you can purchase them during the level using a certain amount of coins. To earn more coins, you can complete your Collection Album, form combos while matching, and get bonus rewards as well.
4. Take the Conveyor Cards into Account
There are two types of Conveyor cards, i.e. Up Conveyor cards and Down Conveyor cards. Conveyor Up cards rank up with each move until cleared. Whereas Conveyor Down cards rank down individually with each move until cleared.
Conveyor cards can have their advantages as well as disadvantages depending on how you use them. It’s important to keep track of the current number on the Conveyor cards, if present so that they can be put to use wisely.
