Being changed from the settings of Skyrim, there are a total of six difficulties for the player to choose from, ranging from the easiest being Novice, to the hardest being Legendary.

By playing on the hardest difficulty, players not only do less damage but also gain substantially more from enemies. This not only adds new life to Skyrim, as many players may have forgotten the challenge some battles can be, but also shakes up the gameplay, as a player may need to play differently.

Returning to building the player’s character, another sure way to shake up another playthrough of Skyrim involves the vast number of skill trees available. Players level up these skills by using certain actions that involve them. By putting points into these various skill trees, the player may improve certain abilities as well as build their character in many ways.

Since Skyrim has no set classes, a player is able to create their very own custom class through leveling an abundance of skills, from speechcraft, to alchemy, to two-handed weaponry. Trying something new is a sure way to shake up gameplay.
