It’s an extremely engaging game that rewards strategy and persistence.

Dysmantle is a beautifully designed survival game with a highly destructible environment. The player character has ventured out of their bunker into a post-apocalyptic wilderness. The goal is to get off the island in one piece. There is crafting, farming, and combat, as well as an underlying mystery to solve. All players have to begin with is a crowbar and backpack. Upgrading the crowbar allows players to destroy stronger obstacles that act as barriers to progress.

The narrative is by far the most well-crafted on this list, with environmental storytelling and radio broadcasts that fill in the lore of the world.
