Reddit user AlphaKiIo shared their frustration with the game’s community that they can’t recolor their farm’s silo. The image they shared with their post shows that their farmhouse and nearby buildings have a wood design with a blue roof on each, but the silo stands out in comparison, as it’s stuck with a red roof and a brick-like design on its walls. While it’s possible to move the silo, players can’t choose to recolor it, unless they download a mod to do that on the PC version of the game. For players who enjoy customizing their Stardew Valley farms fully to their liking, this can be quite frustrating.
Stardew Valley Players Share Silo Suggestions
As one might imagine, AlphaKiIo isn’t alone in this complaint, with many more users in the comments sharing the same sentiment. Some have wondered if the inability to recolor the silo is an oversight by ConcernedApe, as most farm buildings can be recolored to the player’s liking. Others agreed about the silo clashing with the appearance of their own farms, and suggested that the player might try visiting Robin and moving the silo, either off into a corner somewhere, or by hiding it behind trees. Since the silo doesn’t need to be physically connected to anything, players can put it anywhere on the farm. Hay can even be restocked through the auto-feeding

in barns and coops, so the silo can be rendered totally inaccessible without any major problems.
For the moment, it hasn’t been made clear when, or if, Stardew Valley will receive another content update. ConcernedApe has shifted much of his focus to Haunted Chocolatier, though he’s also said that he might continue updating Stardew Valley for years, or even decades. While not every request makes it into the game, the developer has previously paid attention to what users have been asking for, and may end up implementing this change at some point in the future.
