As the Van der Linde gang moves once again to a new camp in Red Dead Redemption 2, they take to the opportunities provided by a bastion of an encroaching civilization with the city of Saint Denis. With Shady Belle as the gang’s new home, there are quite a few missables in Chapter 4 of Red Dead Redemption 2 that players need to know before heading in.

Rob a Bank with Charles Smith
Rob the Bank of Rhodes with Charles and Uncle
- Exclusive to Special/Ultimate Edition Owners Only
This content is only available to Special and Ultimate Edition owners of Red Dead Redemption 2, but for those who do not have that edition, do not fret, as the mission isn’t as exciting as one might think. Charles, from Shady Belle, requests Arthur’s help with robbing the Rhodes Bank thanks to some schematics he purchased.
The duo heads out, begrudgingly with Uncle, to blow up a wall into the bank and loot the contents within before escaping. It’s a quick mission with a fairly decent take that sees Arthur claim almost $150 for himself, but this is an exclusive missable mission.

Help a Brother Out
Save Human Trafficking Victims and Gain High Honor from Brother Dorkins
- Location: near the Trapper in the Market of Saint Denis
Found near the market area of Saint Denis, Arthur can interact with Brother Dorkins who requests donations. While Arthur doesn’t have to donate to the monk, he will still be asked to investigate the Fence, as he believes that it’s a spot writhe with human trafficking.
Venturing inside and further inspections of a bookshelf will reveal that Brother Dorkins is right, and this Stranger Mission is an opportunity for Arthur to prove that he has a heart, especially when he can donate money and refuse to accept said donations as a payment for helping the poor and the slaves.

Brothers and Sisters, One and All
Retrieve Sister Calderon’s Crucifix for More Honor
- Location: North East entrance of Saint Denis
After helping Brother Dorkins, a new Stranger Mission opens up in Saint Denis, where Arthur meets Sister Calderon. The two religious folks are trying to teach the young and impoverished kids to read, but one sneaks off with Sister Calderon’s crucifix, a gift from her late mother.
Another chase through Saint Denis has Arthur try to retrieve the crucifix to give back to Sister Calderon, but it also has a troublesome run-in with the law after Arthur sees Edith Downes after Arthur beats up her husband and forces them to repay their debts.

- Algie Davison – Catfish Jacksons

The 16 Most Difficult Red Dead Redemption 2 Legendary Animals To Hunt
With 16 Legendary Animals to find and hunt in Red Dead Redemption 2, some hunters might find themselves being hunted by these ferocious beasts.
It’s one of the hardest missions in Red Dead Redemption 2, not for its difficulty, but for its morality. It’s tough to see an abusive father and a vulnerable child who just wants to be happy and find his mother, but at the end of the day, Arthur is here for a reason.

Fatherhood and Other Dreams 1 and 2
Help Mary Linton in Saint Denis
Mary Linton once again writes to Arthur Morgan, to which the always-smitten Arthur foolishly grants a response. The two have hearts that ache for one another but lives that are too far removed to see them joined. Yet, that won’t stop Arthur from helping Mary when she requests it, which takes him deep into Saint Denis.
The troublesome Mary needs help with her father, and the quest itself involves stealth, chatter, robbery, and a darling show that can be experienced with Mary to see how the two had a romance that was once filled with love and truth.

Hunting with Pearson
Search for Crayfish and Gator Eggs with Pearson
The camp cook requires better ingredients, which is why Arthur and Pearson head out into the dangerous gator-infested swamps near Shady Belle to grab some crayfish that lurk in the mud. It’s an opportunity to hunt for crayfish, something most players probably didn’t even know they could do up until now.
It’s also nice to hear about Pearson’s days in the Navy and to collect some rather valuable alligator eggs that can be sold for a fair price, considering how common they can often be found among the swamps.
5
Coach Robbery with Lenny
Show Lenny the Ropes and Dangers of Coach Robbing
Lenny has come up with a pretty solid but suspicious plan to rob a stagecoach in Scarlett Meadows, something Arthur sees as his responsibility to help out. The two venture into the South and find themselves pinned down by soldiers protecting the coach in a set-up trap for outlaws such as themselves.
It’s a learning experience for Lenny, an opportunity to kill some folk for Arthur, and also a time for players to experience the fun relationship between these two characters as they grow more fond of each other as friends in the early days of Chapter 4.
4
Coach Robbery with Micah
Rob a Coach in the Bayou with Micah and Bill
The Bayou Nwa might hold a few dangerous Night Folk to look out for, but it’s also the perfect spot for an ambush for outlaws to go get themselves a stagecoach filled with cash. Teaming with Micah and Bill on this one, Arthur can enjoy at least $50 for a job well done.

Red Dead Redemption 2: Estimated Ages Of The Van Der Linde Gang Members
Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn’t reveal many of the Van der Linde gang members’ exact ages, but various in-game clues lead us to some solid assumptions.
Most might not want to spend time with Micah, but just keep a six-shooter holstered and get ready for action, because if Micah’s on the job, there’s bound to be plenty of death, especially if the rather clumsy and violent Bill is joining with.
3
Cow Rustling with Uncle
Sell Some Cattle to Clay & Clive
Rustling cows is a pretty serious crime, or at least it was back in 1899. While Arthur and Uncle risk getting hanged for a few dollars, it’s still a fun time to head out to the quiet Hill Haven Ranch where the owner is too drunk to notice his cattle being stolen, and the fact that there are a few loud gunshots outside.
While the mission only really involves herding cattle into Clemens Cove’s horse site with Clay and Clive, and the reward is just around $60, it’s still nice to spend some time with Uncle before everything goes South.
