Anic Inc. has announced the shutdown of service of its iconic character collection RPG, King’s Raid on March 15, 2025. This real-time strategy game with a great storyline was originally launched on September 19, 2016, on mobile platforms, in Thailand, and later globally on February 16, 2017. Its upcoming shutdown marks the end of an era for one of the most beloved Gacha games of this generation.
King’s Raid is shutting down as the devs can no longer sustain a stable service environment
For those unfamiliar with this title, King’s Raid is a strategy-based real-time RPG set in the continent of Orbis, a realm of swords and magic. In this game, you can assemble a party of 4 heroes by collecting anime-like 3D characters, engage in real-time 3D battles in the PvP arena, raid battles, and more.
Unfortunately, the King’s Raid team has announced on Facebook that the game will cease all operations on March 15, 2025. In this announcement, they explained, “Despite our continued efforts to provide enjoyable and meaningful experiences, we have determined that maintaining a stable service environment is no longer feasible.” Due to this, the devs have ultimately decided to discontinue the game after so many years of service.
You will be able to any remaining currency and items until EOS and apply for refunds or payment cancelation
Following this announcement, the devs have already suspended downloads and payments. While new transactions are disabled, you can still use any remaining currency and items until the game’s final day. So I suggest you utilize all your remaining resources and cherish the last few moments with this beloved game until its final day on March 15, 2025.
The good news however is that you can apply for refunds and payment cancellation through the respective stores you bought it from. Players have also voiced their frustration over the game’s decline, due to mismanagement, greed, worst update, and more. Signs of more decline surfaced in November 2023, when the developer laid off all 105 employees due to financial difficulties.
