When you’re ready to hunt down Handsome Charlie in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, this guide details where to find him and how to beat him.
How To Start Casper Quest In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
After completing all the previous tasks of the Bandit Hunt series including Canker, Handsome Charlie, and Johnny the Gob, players will need to wait 2 full days of game time to go back to Gules and grab the last task to hunt the dangerous Casper.
Casper will be located in Apollonia, a region that is infamous for being infested by wolves and bandits, filled with ravines, hills, and a thick vegetation forest that makes it the ideal place for an Outlaw of his caliber to make a base of operations.
Gules will advise Henry not to go unprepared, as Casper is surrounded by the most dangerous members of their gang, and he will be placed in the biggest bandit camp they will find in the region, which is no exaggeration since Henry will have to face at least 12 bandits in this place.
As proof of their victory, players will have to collect Casper’s Ring from his cold-dead finger, and bring it back to Semine Keep to collect their rewards.
How To Beat Casper In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
There’s no easy way to kill Casper, since he will be surrounded by other bandits almost all day. There are two night guards placed on the hills surrounding the camp, equipped with Master Hunter Bows and always aware of the roads with access to the Camp Area- Plus, another seven guards are roaming around the encampment by day and night, making a stealthy approach something really hard.
But, thankfully, there’s a trick to catch these ruffians unguarded, and that is to Travel to Trosky castle, and look straight East from the fast travel point. Keep walking in that direction until reaching the treeline from the Apollonia forest, and then enter stealth.
Walk in Stealth briefly to spot the first of the guards watching the western side of the camp, and perform a Stealth kill on him. Players should have a dagger equipped with them to make an easier takedown. Grab the body and scuttle back to hide it behind a big tree so no other bandit approaching the zone spots him.
Then keep heading a little to the left, and spot another guard sitting on a solitary cooking pot also guarding the camp from above. Take him down and there will be only ten bandits left, including Casper himself.
Casper is wearing a full Brigadine Long Coat, with a Bell-Shaped Kettle Hat, and he has a Longsword with him, so players cannot miss him. He often patrols the zone between the guard post and the major campsite, where the loot chest is. So, next, players will want to wait until he is climbing the road to the big camp and can try to perform a stealth kill on him.
Players can also use Mutt to distract the bandits by Barking and then use that chance to poison the cooking pot or the wine, but it is a risky strategy.
Watch out for the other four bandits, two of which are often sleeping in the camp, one cooking, and the other one is spotting from the cliff behind the camp towards the eastern road. The remaining five bandits are scattered around below, or patrolling the eastern side of the camp, so be careful not to trigger a full-scale war too soon, or they will surround Henry and turn him into mince meat.
After dealing with Casper and his allies (optional) players will need to loot his ring from the corpse, and the keys to the chests if they want some extra loot, and they feel bold enough to face the wrath of the remaining bandits.
If they’re done, they can return to Gules with the proof of extermination to receive their final reward: 95 Groschen, and the possibility of having Gules as a Skill trainer in Thievery, Survival, and Swords.
