Summary

- Nott is back, and she can negate all those Throw attacks.
- Keyleth also gives us a new four-attribute character to build decks around.
UniVersus’ Critical Role: Heroes of Exandra is only a few weeks away now, and we’ve seen most of what the set has to offer. It’s full of big names from the Voxi Machina and the Mighty Nein, memorable moments from the campaigns, and even a new cooperative boss cards to capture the feel of tabletop RPGs.
Like all UniVersus releases, it’s also full of plenty of alt-arts. We revealed a bunch of them before, but now we have the final five to cap things off ahead of the set’s release on March 7. If you were wondering where your favourite character was, there’s a good chance they’re here.
Nott Is Back, And She Brought Friends
Headlining the last five alt-art character cards is Nott The Brave, Chaotic Meddler. We’ve seen Nott in UniVersus before, as she was the face of last year’s Mighty Nein Challenger deck. This time, she can completely negate damage from blocks with her response ability, which is especially good in a set like Heroes of Exandria that is full of cards with the Throw ability.
If an attack with Throw is blocked, the attack still deals half of its damage. That is, unless Nott has anything to do about it.
Another fascinating card to point out is Keyleth of the Air Ashari. We don’t often see character cards with four attributes, making her a great toolbox sort of character with access to a much larger number of cards. Her abilities all play with flipping foundations too, leading you towards midrange decks that deny your opponents their best resources.
