You have a total of three accessory slots in Avowed, and the right items here can make a big difference during your gameplay.

Dead Man’s Mail is one such treasure, and it’s one of the harder ones to locate if you haven’t paid attention to the surrounding landmarks. However, the reward you get from it is more than worth the trouble.

Dead Man’s Mail Treasure Map Location

If you want to get the Dead Man’s Mail treasure in Shatterscarp, you’ll have to venture quite deep into the area. If you’ve just reached here, it’s recommended to grind a bit of items and get your gear to the superb tier before trying this since the area around the map’s location is filled with high-tier enemies.

Once you’ve done that, you can head over to where you see the Great Sand Sea written on the map. The rock formation in the area where this text is written will have a big gap between two structures on the right side. You’ll find this map on a skeleton’s body at the bottom of this gap.

The skeleton will be lying down on a mattress inside one of the camps in the area.

How To Get Dead Man’s Mail Treasure

You can find and claim Dead Man’s Mail treasure even without finding the map if you visit the right location. Upon claiming the treasure, it’ll automatically finish the treasure map quest and you won’t find the map on the skeleton’s body. To get this treasure, you have to head just to the north of the Great Sand Sea area.

In the Shark’s Teeth area, you’ll see a Tago’s Tower beacon with a secluded building on the wall to the north of it. Teleport to this beacon and head towards the northern building where you’ll see a broken pillar creating a path to the top.

You can climb through this pillar and move to the other side of the building above to see the golden chest containing this treasure.

You’ll have to expend three of your lockpicks to open this chest.

The main item you’ll get from this chest will be the Necropants armor. It can summon a spectre to fight alongside you in battle.
